Purchased this for my 99 Honda trx400fw as the oil temp light was staying on. Manual says to "pull2p plug from oil fan control unit and test ohm reading between Blue wire lead on harness plug and harness ground (green wire)" Should get a reading of 9.5-10.5kohms." Which can mean the blue wire has a short in it or the temp sensor is bad. I bypassed the blue wire in the harness and put the MM lead on the Temp sensor wire but the RR wheel and it read 17.05 kohms!? The only one that was bad was only 15.6 kohms.Sent back for exchange and also ordered a couple of different sensors in the hopes to get one that works. Will send back the junk.Be nice if these companies could get fined for sending out junk. 28 units and there are 25% of them bad??? that's horrible quality control. smh.

I installed this product in my Honda ATV and just as it started to tighten, it broke in two pieces. I am not sure if it was defaulty or just made cheap. I will buy my next one at the Honda dealer and see how that goes. Disappointed in the construction of it.John Wagstaff
