This is one powerful little green laser pointer. It is bright enough to see in full Arizona daylight and if you have any idea what that means you know its bright. The dot is also a very good smaller focused light at distance compared to most cheap modules I have seen. This makes it very versatile daytime and night. As with any laser you have to exercise caution since the high brightness can cause eyesight problems even if reflected off a glossy surface so not the best choice for playing with the animals & definitely not recommended to be given to children or teens. The housing resembles a small tactical flashlight and the aluminum build seems to be constructed fairly well although it is obviously not waterproof due to not having any o rings etc. The only two issues I have are 1. It comes with a European charger for the battery so I will have to use my own US charger to charge the battery. 2. In order to use the single dot option you have to completely remove the lens cover. The lens cover allows the adjustable kaleidoscope function but when removed you can get the single dot. Doing so though allows the possibility of dirt/dust getting into the lens both removable and on the unit itself. I am not sure of the quality of the button top battery itself but I can say straight out of the box it ran the laser for quite a long time while I was testing/playing with it, both daytime when I received it and later that night. I always take the sellers specs/ratings with a grain of salt and the 8200ft is a bit suspect even though it is very bright, bright enough you can see the actual beam itself for quite a distance (probably much more to do with the higher brightness and overall air quality than anything else). Not like the typical cheap red dot 'toy' lasers where your lucky if the dot itself is even bright enough to see. Also, the label indicates it is a class 3 5000mw so either they misprinted or are really trying to oversell. It would also have been nice to have an end cap that also has a momentary option along with the on/off but not a deal breaker at this price.

This laser pointer might be fine for someone living in the U.K., but it’s a head-scratcher for anyone in the U.S. The included battery charger only works with a European outlet, which makes it basically unusable unless you already own an adapter or travel plug—something not exactly standard in most American households. The battery was completely dead when it showed up, and with no way to charge it, I haven’t even seen the thing turn on. That alone was enough to drop it down to two stars. Beyond that, it's bulkier than I expected. Feels more like a mini flashlight than a laser pointer. I can’t speak to performance, but between the size and the charger issue, it doesn’t feel like it was designed with U.S. users in mind.

It says 1 AAA battery included! This is no AAA battery! Totally useless

The build quality and design of this laser is excellent. I really like the solid, all aluminum housing and parts. The kit includes the laser itself, one 18650 9900mAh battery, charger, and diffusion lens attachment. According the the specifications sticker on the body (see pic), it is rated as Class III, with a 532nm+/-10 wavelength and Right away, I was very impressed by how bright and sharp the beam was. The first time I used it was at night and could not believe how clear it was. This is the first time I have been able to try out a green laser like this and have, frankly, always been skeptical about whether you could actually see the beam itself. Until now, I thought that it was photoshopped in, which is sometimes the case. Not with this one, though (night only, but more on that later). After checking the area to make sure it was clear of aircraft, I briefly pointed the beam at the moon and clearly saw the line of the beam all the way up until it disappeared into the atmosphere. I can see why astronomers use it for pointing out celestial features. Very cool!I also tested it during the daytime and was equally impressed at the clarity of the beam terminus (dot) against an object. Unlike the night test, the beam itself was not visible from the side, in contradiction to the images on the listing. I not really expecting to see the beam in daylight anyway, so it’s not a deal breaker for me.The included beam diffuser lens is a lot of fun. I was a little confused at first when I screwed it into the front of the unit. I did this while it was off and could not understand why it never tightened all the way down. Once I turned the unit on, however, I came to discover that once the lens is screwed in, more clockwise rotation changes the pattern of the output. It actually has a very cool effect as you rotate, with the dots spreading apart while rotating and then grouping back together. The back cap screws off to reveal the battery compartment. The cap separation was a little farther from the end then I was expecting, about 3/4”. No big deal at all but slightly different than most tactical flashlights I’m used to, so I just needed to grab it a little farther down the barrel. While inserting the battery, special attention needs to be given to the direction. The negative end goes against the spring inside at the front of the laser and the copper button on the cap, opposite the switch, goes up against the bump and the positive end. The included battery charger has the two round blades common to the 220 outlets in Europe, The charger does say that is rated for 110V-220V 47-63Hz (see pic) so I think it would work in standard US outlets (110/120V 60Hz) with a blade adapter, but don't take my word for it and do your own research. Luckily, I already had a travel adapter, so this wasn’t an issue for me.All things considered, I think this is a great, tough laser.
