Easy to install and now my bike fits my needs. I have a lot less shoulder strain by being able to ride more upright. This just transformed my bike for very little cost and an easy installation. If you have never taken your stem off, watch some Youtube videos to make sure you properly tighten everything back down in order to not damage you headtube bearings. It's not rocket science but there is some finesse required.

This was a quick item to install, though like others have said, you'll likely need at least one more spacer than they give you. I'd suggest picking up a set if you don't have extra. The only other thing (not necessarily negative) is that the hex bolt size is way larger than anticipated. I don't think I have any other part on my bike with that size. Though I did have the right tools for it.Otherwise, the change in ride comfort is huge, much more so that I would have thought it would. I haven't gone on a longer ride yet. Though the quick spin around the block made it quickly apparent how much more upright you'll be with this riser.

Product appears to be good quality. Stem appears to be used not new since parts were loose in plastic bag with scratches and missing pieces. Did not return due to already having spare parts. Would not recommend seller.

This stem riser installs easily enough and seems like a sturdy, quality product. Time will tell, but after a couple of short rides, it feels good.Reminder: Don't tighten down the stem riser onto the fork steerer tube and wonder why your headset won't snug up. With using this item, you have to have both the stem and the stem riser unclamped before tightening the long bolt into the fork. Not that I was guilty of doing this, or anything like that ...

It fits great . Be careful while treading the upper bolt . The seat or stem hat doesn't need to be in place at the beginning for getting the threads going . Once you got the threads just lift your entire bike by the fork and pop the hat in place . Be careful.

I wanted a color update to my commute bike, and picked up this steerer tube extender to replace the shiny silver Zoom stem riser that has been in used for the past 15 years. As a point of comparison, I have also purchased a cheap Wake (brand) stem riser for my youngest son's mountain bike in a nice shade of aqua blue. I've included a photo of the two risers, installed, side-by-side.Like my silver Zoom stem riser this replaced, this Origin8 piece uses two beefy M7 bolts (6mm allen wrench size) clamp bolts. The cheaper blue riser on my kid's bike uses the more conventional M6 bolts (5mm hex socket).I see good precision in how the holes were drilled, the evenness of the material thickness, and even the finishing of the hidden part of the riser (through the center). The finish on this piece is very nice. The aluminum is polished so that the anodization looks painted on. In contrast, the cheap blue one is a simple forged finish and the anodized finish shows it.Lastly, the included spacers with this Origin8 are the same outer diameter (and same polished finish) as the base, so when assembled it has a uniform appearance. With the cheap blue one, the spacers are slightly smaller and are even a different shade of blue, making it look sloppy and... well, cheap.

I bought this for my Montague Paratrooper Highline so that I could reach the handlebars comfortably, and it works like a charm. It's well constructed and gave my handlebars that extra height that I was looking for. I did need to add an additional 7mm spacer under this bad boy in order to make everything fit nice & snug, but no complaints here! I took it out for a ride today, and it's perfect & much more comfortable to ride.

Ordered this riser to put on a Schwinn Varsity 1200. I needed extra height due to having long legs and highest seat position. Install was easy with no modifications of bike other than addition of riser. Size 5 and 6 metric hex wrenches are needed and that is all. I fitted components first, then slightly tightened riser clamp screws and handle bar screws. Top riser stem screw was then applied, tightened completely, followed by final component alignments. Lastly complete tightening of riser and handle bar screws. Looks good and works great!!!
