This is a very precise scale, allows to recharge freon with the exact amount needed for the car, the way it works is let's say you need to put 1lbs of freon, then you put the bottle of freon on top of the scale and zero it. then when you start to charge the scale will show the amount being charged, will appear as negative as the bottle is lighter, when you reach 1lbs you close the valve on the manifolds. no more blind charging.

I got this scale to replace a damaged R134 charge scale we use frequently. We primarily charge in grams (kilograms) and in decimal pounds.It seems to be accurate enough to charge with precision. And it’s easy to use.It’s a nice touch that they include a 9 volt battery to make it complete out of the box. It’s an inexpensive battery, so I’m sure it won’t last too long, but at least it’ll get you going for a while.The scale surface is non-slip only by the groove design cut into the plate. It’s a fairly hard surface otherwise. The display is easy to read and has plenty large numbers.

This refrigerant scale is easy to use and quite accurate. I have 50g and 100g calibration weights and the scale displays the exact values and correct difference when I add or remove them.The scale itself appears to be quite sturdy although when I stood on it did wobble a bit. The display looks kind of cheap. The plastic is pretty thin. The buttons are plastic film so I wonder how long they will hold up. The coiled cord is pretty stiff and not very long so I couldn’t use it when standing. The carrying case holds the scale securely but it is thin plastic and arrived dented so I doubt it will hold up well in the field.Despite its flaws I’m giving it 4 stars for its accuracy and ease of use.

Fantastic product. I sometimes do auto HVAC service and small appliances (yes I do have my EPA certs) and I was using a more generic body scale.This one is a huge upgrade in convenience and precision. The body scale was not very repeatable, which means there were small errors in the amount of refrigerant used. This one is dead on every time. It's important for smaller systems where errors in the amount of refrigerant get amplified.I have calibration weights and it is dead on (I tested 60g and 100g).I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to my colleagues doing HVAC service as a main job. You can have this one in your truck and rely on it 100%.

This refrigerant scale performs well, I used some pre calibrated weights on this scale and it was spot on. No issues with the weighing aspect of this scale, the scale has a textured coating on it and it keeps my refrigerant bottle on it without it slipping or sliding. I used to use a tiny food scale so this scale is a major upgrade for me, now I have a display that I can place in a convenient location as I am recharging my AC so that I can keep tabs on the amount of refrigerant I’ve charged so that I can stop charging before I reach the maximum capacity. I really appreciate that they included a molded case for the scale, this way I can keep my scale from getting damaged when I move my AC gear to and fro. All in all this portable refrigerant scale is accurate and is built well for me to use in my own garage or anywhere that requires me to service auto AC systems.

I tested this scale with my calibrated weight set and found that the scale reads perfectly for each of my weights. I also tested it with all of my weights combined on it and it read within one gram. I did not download the Bluetooth app and try that out as the attached controller works perfectly for me.
