Very tight around calf with battery

I purchased the correct size based on the size chart and they are so tight I cannot get them on without help. They do not fit past my ankles. I’m very frustrated. I cannot even attempt to exchange for another size due to the return policy. If there is obvious sign of wear. How on earth would I know if they fit if I didn’t put my feet in them? I should have chosen a cheaper pair with a better policy. What a ridiculous product. And after checking out the packaging more, I see that the size chart on Amazon and the one on the box are very different. Explains a lot.

If you like a tight fitting Boot and are at intermediate expert skier these will be too thick probably. It'll be too snug inside your boot and you're better off going with the HotTronics product..although that is $$$$.

I really wanted to love these heated socks, and while they do some things really well, there are a few drawbacks that keep them from being perfect.👍 What I Loved:High-Quality Material – The socks themselves are thick, well-made, and super warm even before turning the heat on.Great Heating Coverage – The toe dual heating zones really do provide nice, even warmth from the top and bottom, making a big difference in the cold.Long Battery Life – With up to 11.5 hours of warmth, they last long enough for extended outdoor activities.👎 What I Didn’t Love:Bulky Battery Pack – Even though the battery is small and slim, it still feels bulky for socks. It’s noticeable when walking, and while not a dealbreaker, it does take some getting used to.Final ThoughtsIf you need extra warmth for cold-weather activities like skiing or hiking, these socks do the job well. Just be prepared to deal with the slightly awkward battery pack.

I have an old set of Ororo socks that has been great, well designed, good battery life, comfy. I picked up the new so I could rotate/fully dry between uses. The new version don't seem to be designed for humans, the longer sock puts battery placement at the thickest part of the calf, meaning it's hard to pull pants over. The height is unneeded as anyone wearing heated socks is probably wearing a thermal layer. The battery sits directly under the temp/on off switch, making it easy to bump/be pressed by pants. The socks are a tube, making them pretty hard to get on and off. Photo of both attached to this review: Old design, made for human heel physiology, vs the new, which seem to be designed for a stork with no heel to pull a sock over.
