I can't deny that the quality of this product is spot on. That being said, here's a pro and con breakdown:Pros:- small and compact- perfect for biking with a small amount of non bulky items- straps are adjustable and very secure- great for people with smaller frames- very well crafted - seems sturdyCons:- if you're a large man like me, this may look comical small- a 13 inch laptop may not fit in this if you have it in a protective case (in my case, the laptop is not slim, which may have had something to do with that). You'll need to put it into the bag without an additional case, and it will be a tight squeeze. This is why I took off a star, as I would assume a 13 inch laptop with a case would fit fine.

I've been using the Osprey Transporter Crossbody Shoulder Sling for a while now, and it has quickly become my go-to bag for daily essentials. It strikes the perfect balance between comfort, durability, and organization, making it ideal for commuting, traveling, or casual outings. What I Like:• Comfortable All-Day Wear – Does not feel heavy after prolounged use• Lightweight Yet Durable – Despite being lightweight, the fabric feels incredibly sturdy and highly water-resistant. I’ve been caught in light rain a couple of times, and everything inside stayed dry.• Well-Organized Storage – The main compartment easily fits a tablet or a 14” laptop, along with my essentials like a wallet, keys, and a small notebook. The zippered mesh cell phone pocket on the harness is a convenient touch for quick access.• Ambidextrous Strap – A great feature if you like switching shoulders for comfort. The strap is easy to adjust and sits well without digging into my shoulder.A Few Things to Consider:• Limited Space for Larger Items – While the bag is great for essentials, it’s not meant to carry bulkier items. If you need more space for things like a jacket or a water bottle, you might want a larger bag.• Minimal Padding for Laptops – It fits a 14” laptop, but I’d recommend using a sleeve for extra protection, especially if you carry other hard items inside.Final Verdict:The Osprey Transporter Crossbody Sling is an excellent everyday bag for those who want a sleek, lightweight, and durable option with just enough space for daily essentials. The comfortable backpanel, water-resistant fabric, and thoughtful organization make it a great choice for commuters, travelers, and anyone looking for a versatile sling bag.

Osprey is one of my favorite brands of outdoor gear. So, when looking for a smallish sling bag for both everyday use but also to use as a personal item carry-on when flying, the Osprey 13-liter Transporter sling bag was at the top of the list. I got the Pine Leaf green bag which I like for its understated appearance. It doesn't scream, "Look at me I have a bag of interesting things!"It was a bonus that Osprey was thoughtful in its choice of materials. The bag is made primarily from recycled nylon. It has a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating that gives a barrier against rain and does not contain any PFAs, unlike many other similar outdoor products. The design is both simple and flexible. As a sling bag, the strap can be easily changed from right to left shoulder carry, with an additional stabilizer strap that goes around your back to clip into the shoulder strap in the front. The bag only has two major pockets. One small zippered pocket for small items like keys, sunglasses, AirPods, etc. The main zippered compartment has a padded space for that will hold a 14-inch laptop or most tablets. It also has pen holders, notepads, and one that is even large enough to hold a basic Kindle. This pocket is roomy enough for books, tech gear like chargers and cables, and a change of clothes. There are other nice touches like a couple of webbing loops on the exterior that you can use with a carabiner to attach a rolled-up raincoat or other gear, and oversized zipper pulls that you can slip your finger into to make unzipping easier. The shoulder strap has a zipper pocket that will hold your iPhone or sunglasses.I think it is an ideal sling bag for travel. You can stuff it with all the little things you will need on a flight and still take a carry-on suitcase. For moving around new cities, you can rotate the bag around to your front so that it is less accessible to pickpockets. The DWR coating is not waterproof, but your gear will stay dry in a rainstorm. The only thing that I found missing in the simplistic design was any way to carry a water bottle, which seems like an unusual oversight as all the other packs in the Transporter series have zippered water bottle compartments. This isn't a showstopper for me, but something that I am surprised that Osprey missed with this bag.

I have been using Osprey equipment for about fifteen years now and have never been disappointed with any of their products. I got this bag to replace an Osprey day bag I have used to death over the past ten or so years. This bag is super functional and stylish, made to last, perfect as a day bag or for hiking or a day around the city. I love that the fabric is more water-resistant than my previous bag. The one arm strap is a bit to get used to, but once you do you love it. This is a super portable, small to mid-sized bag, but it still fits my laptop and anything else I need for a day.

Love this crossbody bag. The material around entire outside of the bag is the thick Osprey material I’ve seen used on their other bags. Can hold a lot of stuff especially heavy items. I’d trust this bag to hold my expensive camera on a trip. Would protect electronics nicely. Back is padded and comfortable. Can easily fit a cell phone in the zipped front pocket. Strap can easily be switched to left or right shoulder with a few buckles. Good sized bag, can use for trips, gym or to the office.
