I have a severe sprain and my employer requires a closed toe boot. The one the Hospital gave me was a medium and was a tad big. This one also is a medium and my shoe size fell within the medium size, but I can't inflate the air bladder much at all without my toes loosing circulation

I ordered this originally because Amazon said same day delivery, but of course in Amazon world that means next week Thursday. That said, the boot is by far the best. Highly recommend, it’s so nice. Way more supportive than the other boots, no pressure points, and it actually walks well.Don’t bother saving 30 bucks, just buy this one and don’t look back. Thanks to the engineers.

Klare Kaufempfehlung

Exceptionally comfortable and lightweight for a long wearing time. I have tried many others for my fractured foot, this is the best for my case. The only note I would say is that I trimmed the velcro strap on the front, it was about 3" too long.

Kauf. Ich habe Grösse M genommen bei Schuhgröße 39. Der Versand ging glücklicherweise sehr schnell.

I purchased Ossur TOP WALKER in 2015-7. And it saved me. The BOOT is very easy to wear.I wore it from JULY 2015 to ca. March April 2016.In Sept. 2016 I had complications on foot, and i started to wear this BOOT again. It always ready to wear in my closet. And it is a "life saver". Really good , flex, easy, light, and easy to walk. I got so used to gave this boot that it was hard to switch to a reg shoe because this boot has thick soil protection. I still wear it, 2 1/2 years later. Great BOOT! Thank you AMAZON!

The concept of this boot is excellent but I am now on my 4th as the pump mechanism failed after a week or so on 2 of the boots and came broken on the 3rd. My current boot already has air escaping from the 'balloon' so I am unsure how long it will go on - I've had it for 2 weeks!

This was the fourth (and last) walking boot that I had in three months. The Aircast SP was better, more comfortable and effective, but not by much. This boot is similar in design and appears to be better made, but has the same issues. The biggest complaint I have is that the plastic outer cover is supposed to go over the inflation and deflation bulbs that are built into the liner, but the smaller deflation bulb would slip under the cover and was constantly getting pressed by the cover as it shifted, thus deflating the air bladders and causing the boot to fit loosely. Also, the toe cap at the front seems like a good idea, but anything that gets in doesn't come out without removing the boot. After three weeks of use, the rubber that holds the plastic outer cover together had broken and the ankle strap was giving out. Still, this is a good boot. The liner is good, it's pretty comfy, and the bladder setup is very good when it was inflated. I just prefer the Aircast SP. It's more comfortable and the inflation setup is simpler and works.

I have the tall version of this boot, but found that the strap over the instep for extended periods of time is painful. And the tall version can be a bit difficult to adjust (especially after the air is inflated); there isn't much room for adjustments with the way the pump fits the outer hull. This shorter version is much more comfortable, and seems to feature an updated design, with better lining, and a more careful fit. Notice how the top inserts around the foot. But keep in mind this version doesn't offer quite as much support for serious ankle injuries, such as mine. I'll use this great Ossur Low-Top as a relief boot for short periods of time, or for when I do moderate exercise. Good luck in your recovery!PS: If you have just twisted your ankle, your doc may suggest a boot. I am not a doctor, but my advice, after serious sprains and 2 surgeries by a highly regarded specialist who just wants to operate a 3rd time (after being clueless when I came in with a sprain on the damaged ankle; he seems to have forgotten how to properly treat injuries to heal them & prevent surgery) is: try at least 2-3 weeks on crutches, with your ankle in a boot or ace-bandages. Then slow rehab. When I think back, it was old-fashioned treatment that worked best: ice, elevation, wrapping, and crutches did the trick. Nowadays, docs just want to cut. Beware!
