Flimsy plastic, I wouldn’t use it on anything weighing more than 50 lbs

When you think of a cleat you think strong sturdy.Not theses cleats these are flimsy and weak.Not a good design at all. I don't think these would even last a year on a dock even if you didn't use them. Waste of money don't buy.

I just wanted light duty cleats for occasional use that could stay out of the way. These seemed to fit the bill. There isn't a good way to open them once mounted.. you need a tool to pry them open. Also, the opening is so small you can't really get a rope in or out of the opening so it doesn't really function like cleat even after you get it opened.
