Good fit if you follow instructions. The headband was a little difficult to adjust, so I actually had to do step 3 before step 2 with the unit off my head, then repeat 3 & 2 until it fit right. Once I got the right fit & ear-seal, it worked great! I could hear range commands, but loud sounds were muffled.

I could not get it to properly fit in my ears in any orientation, or extension. I tried over the head, slightly down, even at the back of my neck. I do not understand the intended use for these. I have a XL hat size, maybe it is too small for me.

I honestly didn't expect this to work but thought I'd take a chance anyway. I'm truly shocked at how well it dampens sudden loud noises while still allowing much quieter sounds through.

Several shooting buddies were sure these would not deaden sound and protect your hearing. After they tried them they were convinced I was right and these are easy to use and easy to keep out of the way with pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

TL;DR: seem to work very well OUTDOORS, but NOT recommended indoors, per my personal experience. I have thus “averaged” my score. I’d give them a “5” in effectiveness outdoors. A “1” indoors. Also, not super comfortable in my ears, but I can live with it if it’s hot outside.BACKGROUNDI have the 31db version. My first use of these was on a friend’s outdoor range. I did not quite trust them, so I had a friend fire a few shots while I closed the distance between us to gauge how much level reduction was happening. I was pleasantly surprised when I made it all the way up to his 4 o’clock and a couple of feet away. Then it was my turn. I handguns in 9mm and 5.7, and my “AR-47” in 7.62x39. Really great results, aurally, IMO, and they do indeed let some selected sounds like voices through more than plain plugs.Regarding the effectiveness of the sound reduction, they produce an oddly filtered sound profile in my ears (you hear more of a low “crack” than a “thump”). So the hearing protection is for real, and this is important: OUTDOORS.HOWEVERToday I decided to try them at an indoor range. There is nothing on the packaging to suggest that this is a bad idea. I put on the protection as carefully as I’d done on my prior use outdoors. I entered the range, and started setting up, when a shooter a few bays down took some shots. Surprisingly sharp and loud, I thought. Then I took my first shot. Whoa. Way too loud to be safe! It was not horrible, but my ears rang for about 5 seconds afterward. I headed right back out and put on my over-the-ear protection and continued shooting.

I got these for shooting Rimfire Benchrest. In the ear plugs didn't work well for me and a pain to put in my small ears. Muffs never worked because they are too wide and would hit the stock. These worked pretty good. Could tell the noise reduction and could still hear commands. Even worked when guy down the bench was shooting high power rifle.A bit tricky putting on your ear but just takes a little wiggling. Only complaint is after 20 minutes my ears were a bit sore when I took them off. Overall, pleased with them.Update:. Well, best to read instructions. Saw that you put them over your head with tip in ear and then tip the top forward some 30-45 degrees and rotate back to top of head. The cups slide right into the correct spot on my ear now. Perfect. No pain anymore after 20 minutes.

Se trabó al tratar de extender la pieza y se quebró muy fácilmente. Se debe tratar como producto fragil. En cuanto a su efectividad contra el ruido, esta muy bien

These get mixed reviews and I can see why. One needs to follow the directions exactly to get the foam correctly seated in the ear canal. But when I wear them correctly, I have found these to be fantastic. They have been perfect for both rifle and pistol-from my own muzzle rapport and shooters next to me. They are comfortable enough that I can wear them several hours, they don’t press my glasses into the side of my head, they don’t touch the butt stock of my rifle, and I can have a reasonable conversation with people who are within 25 feet. They seem a little flimsy so I keep them in a zip-loc bag and I try to not be overly rough with them. I have a fairly large ear canal and I wonder if that’s why they work well for me. My wife has tried them on and she says they fit well, but we will see when she experiences range noise for the first time wearing them. I have not used them at indoor ranges.

I tried this form of ear pro, hoping that the advertised claims were at least close to being true. They are not; not even close. The manufacturer claims that this product provides better production than electronic ear protection. This claim is 100% fraudulent. As an avid shooter, and firearms instructor with my own range, I use a variety of types of hearing protection, depending on the situation. This product fails in every aspect of range ear pro needs. It does not provide anywhere near 31db of NRR. And the ear plug parts are so unstable, they are not useful for shooting rifles or carbines, where a proper cheek weld is necessary. Teaching a recent pistol class, I learned immediately, after the student's first shot, that these do not provide anywhere near the required hearing protection for range use. The full noise impulse of the gunshot made it directly into my ear, and hurt. These came off, and my electronic ear pro went on. The ringing stayed for a while. Their only potential use would be for operating work bench machinery, such as grinders & belt sanders, but even then, the subtle act of swallowing saliva is enough to move them out of alignment in your ear canal. I had attempted adjusting them in various ways for a better fit, because I wanted them to work. The minimalist design appealed to me. But unfortunately, the acoustic "sound reduction chamber" technology that the packaging advertises is completely ineffective. I wish it worked, but it does not. Since they have been in my ears, and the outer plastic part of the packaging has been discarded, I will not attempt to return the item. But considering they are less effective than simple roll & stuff "foamy" type ear plugs, there is little useful application for these supposed muffs.
