You have to hold the clip of the pen down to get the light to turn on and it doesn't stay on which is incredibly inconvenient due to the reasoning of purchasing the product and it is very cheaply made.

We get ear infections a lot so I bought this to check our ears to make sure if we need to go see a dr or if it’s just irritated from allergies. Worth the money, functions great, easy to clean if needed, easy to use

This otoscope works very well! I was able to track my toddler’s ear infection, as well as discover impacted wax in my other child’s ear that was causing hearing loss. It’s by no means a professional device, the tip doesn’t narrow down to a finer point like the pros but it does enough. My only issue, the reason it’s not 5 stars, is that the head comes off too easily. It’s a bit loose, especially if the subject is 18mo and a moving target, it won’t stay on the light very well. A tighter fit would be much better.

It didn't work. Light came on once. Never came on again. No instructions were with the scope. Very poorly made. Sometimes you do get what you paid for.

As a mother with three children, I like to do a bit of sleuth work prior to visiting the doctor. This little, pen-sized tool helps me look inside my children's ears when they complain of an earache to see if an infection may be present. At less than ten dollars, this isn't a professional diagnostic tool, but it certainly works. The light is bright enough to illuminate the ear canal, and the magnifying lens makes it easier to see. This runs on two AAA batteries, which are not included. The set includes the otoscope and four plastic tips. Hopefully, we won't have to use this very often, but it is nice to have on hand should an earache present itself.
