These are good and sturdy metal with thick coating on the base. They are super easy to put on a rod or awning pole and I overall they are bigger and more substantial than I thought they would be.

I have several tripods for lights and two poles for a cover affixed to the entry to the tent. All of them go with us when camping, and when I needed a lantern to illuminate the food prep table, I had to look for a way to hold it.This lantern hook proved to be the best way to have a portable light fixture. I used the tall tripod which its tube was thick enough that the hook clipped on it without sliding at all.The plastic coating is nice so you never damage the pole you use to have the hook on. The gauge of the metal arm makes it strong enough even for a traditional heavy lantern, and the spring force is very strong ensuring the hook stays in place. The plating looks good enough to make it through heavy rain, but I wouldn’t leave it outdoors permanently. The plastic might dry.Note that the hook is limited in what pole it can be attached to. For example, the poles of our carport are too thick.

I attached this to the leg of my easy-up to hold bags near my setup, and it worked great. It grips securely and doesn’t slide down, even as it gets heavier. The first time I used it, I needed both hands to squeeze it open, but now it’s much easier to open. This clip is simple, sturdy, and not flimsy at all. It’s easy to use and can be tossed into my supply bag without worrying about it getting damaged or bent. A very useful and reliable tool.

This product works well and will serve it's purpose of holding a lantern although I do wish it could secure to a larger pole.

An odd item, but useful for clamping and hanging things from.___I ordered this for use on a trip, but it did not arrive in time (very late). So I have to review this while trying it out while not under actual conditions.___ That said, this can work to clamp to a variety of objects. Be aware that you DO have to be sure the hook's orientation will work once clamped to your branch, pole, table leg, or tripod leg. Consider what the angle of the hook will be once you have suspended this to your selected site. The hook is NOT adjustable, so if the angle of the hook is crucial for success.___It is a clever design, and the clamp side has some vinyl/plastic covering to help improve grip on smooth surfaces (poles, etc). If you have a narrow pole, this may not work.

This lamp hanger is sturdy and holds on tight to a pole. We haven't tried it on a tent pole yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work, my kids tents have somewhat thicker poles so it should hold on nicely. The thickness of the pole is definitely limited, unlike the ones with the chain and can go on a tree, but these have more options than the ones that kind of spin around a pole and are not adjustable at all.

We have several of these hangers and use them to hang lanterns around our campsite. The hanger clips onto tent poles of various sizes and supports a surprising amount of weight. Provides for a nicely lit campsite.

The product listing shows length and height, but does not show how large the curved bit is. My tent has a large center pole, so this is not going to work there. But I think I can still use it on a rib pole just inside the door. The widest part of the curved opening is about 1.25 inches (see pic). The first time I squeezed it open it was quite difficult - the rubber sticks to itself. It got a little easier each time. I tested it on a table leg since it's not camping time yet. I look forward to the real deal. It's certainly strong enough to hold up a camping lantern.
