I like this tester. It is priced fairly and with the double-sided LED indicators, it is easy to use. I won't use it often but like having it on hand.

There are 2 sets of LED's in case the connector is upside down so you don't have to stand on your head. It also doubles as a 7-to-4 wire adapter , so keep it in the glove box !

I already love this device. The running lights worked just fine, and then the next time I towed they didn't. I was able to plug this in and it told me that the problem is on the truck side, so now the dealer can deal with the issue and I don't waste time fiddling with the trailer wiring. It was super easy to use. We just plugged it in and boom...no electrical going to the traiker pins, just the auxiliary. Probably just a fuse, and a whole lot less stress. YES. I would recommend this adapter, with a 5-Star rating for a quality product.

I love this tester as it helps give me the peace of mind knowing that the trailer wiring harness is functioning properly. I always run through the normal checks whenever I hook up my stock trailer (7 pin) or utility trailer (4 pin) to my truck. Check the lights, the blinkers, the brake lights, but that never gives me to sense of security that there isn’t a short or other problem in the wiring or wiring connection. My 4 pin plug especially gets clogged with mud and dirt and try as I might I never feel like I can fully engage the male plug into the female fitting. This tester allows me to directly check the wiring harness on the truck to ensure that it is working properly. At least with that assurance if there is a lighting problem on the trailer I will know that it is in the trailer wiring, which is easy enough to track down. I like that this tester can double as an adapter making my (more reliable) 7-pin outlet an option to connect the 4 pin wiring harness.The tester is simple to use and simple to read and interpret. It is bright enough to easily see the LED’s light up even in bright sunshine. For very little money this tester is definitely worth adding to the toolbox.
