I needed an SPDT relay to use for a small switching project I was making for someone. The "DT" portion of SPDT is an absolute necessity for this project. A DT relay will provide both a Normally Open connection and a Normally Closed connection. This product is advertised as such (an SPDT type) and the 6 pins not including the 2 for the coil indicate that it is an SPDT type. For my project I am running a motor that needs to remain ON under normal circumstances, which requires the NC contact pair to maintain power to the motor. 12vDC is supplied to the coil of this relay during an alarm condition, which will cut off power to my motor when the relay energizes. All simple enough, except when I opened this package, the relay at first glance looked exactly like the one pictured, until I was confused for about a minute trying to find one of the NC pairs. Until I realized that my product came with only 6 pins plus 2 more for the coil, instead of 8 pins + 2 for the coil. I received an DPST relay, which I couldn't use at all. There are not 2 connections of this relay are Normally Closed when the coil is NOT energized, but then OPEN when the coil is energized. That's a limitation with Single Throw relays. So I purchased another brand SPDT which arrived as expected, and my client is thrilled with my custom designed switching box that supports what he needs during an alarm condition with a utility he is using.

Just right to fix my Samsung refrigerator, working great now. Was able to fix the fridge just in time for Thanksgiving.
