Bought two of these to install dual fuel pumps on my airboat. Best to have a backup in the Florida swamp. Good price, easy to install and they work great!

Seems like good quality, moves fuel just fine, but it's very loud, hence 3 stars..

Seems well built and should last quite a long time given the materials its built out of. Decent value at 52.00 most fuel pumps at this price range are built entirely from plastic so definitely worth the money

Used this paired with a 12v battery box to make a portable fuel pump. Useful when moving around vehicles that have been stored for way too long. It isn't loud, doesn't run hot, and makes enough pressure for a carb motor. The bolts for mounting are included, as are the brass barbs. Solid quality fuel pump over some cheaper ones I've had.

Fantastic construction and thoughtful assembly, down to wire strain relief and hose clamps to retain the wire boots on the terminal posts. Thorough documentation and a good selection of fittings and sundries needed to install the unit. This is a great offering, based on a solid and dependable design, for the same price that low quality, unreliable, and failure-prone plastic units go for.The output pressure being the same as most classic vehicle mechanical fuel pumps put out makes it a great backup to keep on hand in case of your mechanical pump failing, which is becoming more and more frequent a problem for classic car drivers. It's worth the money to have just for emergency purposes, and still seems to be a great option if you're looking to convert to an electric pump completely. Very glad I found this!

So far so good. Mounted it up on my 1981 full-size Bronco. It failed to work at first due to poor contact/design of the wiring at it's base. Threaded studs would be an improvement.

I am an old guy and have worked on cars for more decades than I care to remember. I even spent a few years as an engineer at FoMoCo in the engine group in Dearborn. I have a 69 Bronce with a Hi Output 306 crate motor that we are running carbureted. I got this pump to run that vehicle. This is a copy of the same Carter pump I used decades ago and it works great. Carter still makes a 4070 but they are about $100. I put a 100 micron inlet filter (nuts and bolts catcher) between the gas tank and the pump. I then put a 10 micron filter between the pump and the carburetor. As I also wired in the safety oil pressure switch to shut the pump off in case of some accident. In an accident you don't want the fuel pump continuing to run if there is a break in the fuel line or things get really ugly real fast.

I’ve got an old Chevy truck that spends most of its time lounging in the yard like a retired workhorse, only rousing itself when I need to haul firewood. Since it sits around so much, getting it started can be a workout—for the battery, the starter, and my patience. More often than not, I find myself playing mad scientist, pouring gas down the carburetor just to wake it up.To save myself from this ritual, I installed this electric fuel pump near the tank and wired it to a separate switch. Now, I just flip the switch for a minute or two, and the mechanical pump takes over like it was meant to—no more desperate cranking or cursing. One thing I appreciate about this pump is that it’s surprisingly quiet. Thanks to its design and rubber spacers, it doesn’t sound like a woodpecker is trapped under my truck, which is more than I can say for some other electric pumps I’ve used. Now, for a little word of caution: the manufacturer claims it’s a "free-flowing" pump, but if you try blowing through it (which, let’s be honest, is the kind of thing we all end up doing out of curiosity), you’ll notice some resistance. This isn’t an issue for me since my truck never sees highway speeds, but I imagine if you’re planning to use it on something that actually moves fast, you might want to consider whether the restriction could cause fuel starvation.Overall, it’s a solid, well-made pump that does its job—saving me from repeatedly draining my battery and my sanity. If your truck spends more time napping than running, this might just be the wake-up call it needs.
