I was going to cap this pipe I may still use for an umbrella mount and stumbled across these little guys. Look clean and fits perfect. I don't know how hard they are to remove, but they are plastic, so not a concern.

I made sure that I purchased the correct diameter for my posts and I expected to have to tap/hammer in the caps as they should be the same diameter (based on the description and photos). Plus, seeing the ribs on the lower portion of the caps and using similar designed items in the past, my expectation was that these would be a tight fit.Unfortunately, the caps slipped into the posts very easily with no friction or pressure at all. I am able to easily lift the caps off the posts without any resistane or effort which is concerning that they could come out or be lost in a high wind. I had to add a bit of caulking to the ribs before putting into the posts in order to secure them in with peace of mind.Fit aside, the overall product is quite well made and is very durable high-quality plastic which should last as long as the posts.

Took some pounding but these fit to cover the supports left once removed for storage for the winter. Wanted to put cover on pool but didn't want to chance that ladder support would rip the liner unprotected
