These same Maibachi are being sold on AliExpress for $10. This is twice the price for something that feels so cheap.

I purchased these to use instead of the plastic sticks that come with the Hori controller for taiko no tetsujin. The sticks are decent quality but I will be sanding the tips to get them into a smoother shape as they are a bit rough as is from manufacturer. The tape holding the grips is a little flimsy but that is easy to fix or even replace the grips entirely with something you prefer. I would recommend these immediately. Keep the Hori sticks in a drawer!

All the taiko drum sets come with the plastic sticks which works. These sticks have some weight to them improve your accuracy in the game.

I love how these feel on the hori tatacon and on the actual arcade machine. The amount of rolls that you can get on the arcade machine is amazing. The lightweight drumsticks feel amazing on the hori tatacon. On the tatacon it’s much easier to do your rolls. Overall amazing drum sticks. I will say 2 mods must be done to this. First sanding down the tips to make them properly round. Second would be taping the base of the grips to ensure they won’t come apart. I did this upon receiving them with electrical tape. But for 10$ this is a 5 star drum stick pair.

We bought these to use for the game on the switch; it works great with the electronic drum controller! They are easier to hold than the plastic sticks, and very comfortable.

Very light and comfortable. Good for high speed, but it snapped in half in fortnightCustom maibachi are pretty useless if they can't handle some intense tapping

Bought to use with my HORI controller. Great feeling holding them, lightweight but more solid than the hollow plastic ones. Handle wrapping is nicer than I expected, especially for $10.I sanded the tip to make it less squared, I'm sure they'd be fine as is but I don't want to accidentally mark up my drum pad. I happened to have some higher grit sandpaper (220 to 800) so I used it on the sticks to make them smoother to the touch (they're not super rough as is but definitely not as nice as they are now).I also happened to be conditioning my butcher block so I rubbed on some conditioner (mineral oil + beeswax) for the heck of it, warmed up the color beautifully.

Not bad bachi, and I would be glad to purchase again. I'm giving a lower review as the images advertised don't look like the actual product. It's just the tips that are different, but I was expecting thinner tips.I sanded them down myself so it's no biggie. I buy these types of bachi to customize to my liking, but if I didn't I wouldn't have been very happy with the purchase. In my photo, the left stick is how it came as the right is what I was sanding.
