I have a bunch of the less expensive LED lights now and this is probably the best made of the batch I have the tested. How do I test them, other then letting them run of a sequence for a couple hours? I drop the light from a couple feet off the ground and if it works I like it. If it breaks then I take that out on my guitarist. Okay, no I don't as if they break I take 'em apart and fix 'em which was not needed here as it survived perfectly (not a crack or anything.) This is very bright and while it has a windmill light motion, that won't get used as it'll be plugged into a DMX box.

I have been working to put together a DMX lighting system for some science shows that I do in the area. As I have been doing this, I have learned a lot about DMX lighting and what is good and what isn't.This light to me seems to be a really good option. I like the brightness, color options and the effects that come along with it. What is most exciting and unique to me is that one of the options is a blacklight feature. Especially when doing science shows, a black light can add an extra effect. I already had some separate black lights, but having this where I can suddenly change it with the DMX controls is great.Installation was easy as it easily hooked up to my DMX interace from my computer. The DMX made it very functional and gives me great control of all the features. This is certainly going to help add some showmanship to my shows!

This light is a little larger and much better made than other "cheaper" LED PAR lights however it's doesn't include a remote control. Many applications will not be bothered by this because they are controlling functions through DMX, however in my application DMX wasn't practical and wanted the remote function. Some functions are not as easy to set through the menu functions. The light also seems to forget some of its setting after it's unplugged. For that a took off some starts, but if you plan on using the DMX functions, this is an excellent light for you.

Update 2025-01-30: Seller sent replacement for missing thumbscrews and rubber washers. KudosPic 1, as received - without thumb screws or rubber washers. Seller contacted and will be sending them. If not received in a reasonable time, I'll update this review (and number of stars). The IEC modular power cord is high quality, but too short for most applications without adding an extension.Pic 2, a very useful AC daisy-chain socket to make additional fixtures much easier to connect to the AC.Pic 3 & 4, factory does not use automatic torque control screwdrivers and broke one of the plastic house mounting studs. The shipping box was fully intact without any signs of damage. Plastic epoxy does wonders. Minus the 1-star.Pic 5 is an internal view of the lenses with solid construction design consistent with better made, cast aluminum cases, and Pic 6 is the wiring to the LED plate. The minus (-) leads are very good, but the positive (+) are crudely done. The plate has provision for separate positive return wires but current standard wiring technique uses only 2 positive wires for the 6 total colors. This is normal (but usually with better technique).Pic 7 is unimplemented provision for temperature sensing for safety - which a majority of manufacturers are also not using....and the controlling circuit board in this fixtures doesn't even have the support circuitry, even if it was installed!Pic 8 is industry standard 6-bead LED and good solder technique. Kudos. This is the minimum quality light output for these kinds of DJ/Club, etc. lighting fixtures. Lower end lights are now utilizing 5050 type SMD LEDs that have far less output (and designed more for use in strip lighting).Pic 9 is the overall circuitry layout. Uncluttered and simple/clean. Decent fan that is definitely audible, but not overtly loud.Pic 10 is the switch mode power supply. Unfortunately held in with only 2 screws that are somewhat short - and provision for a third screw post that is not utilized. Disappointing. However, all connections utilize proper screw terminals or plugs and sockets with either clips, or vibration sealant. Proper gage wire is used for the AC wires and main DC power to the logic/LED control board.Pic 11 is the typical import use of hot melt glue to hold in AC components since the case is only ABS plastic. If it gets too cold and the fixture is dropped - the hot melt will not save you!Pic 12 is the bottom of the clean layout of the power supply board - which is repairable by most electronic techs.Pic 13 is the logic/LED control board. Clean layout, and obvious full support for the 6 color LEDs.Pic 14 is the back of the LED mounting plate. No extra cooling fins and the LEDs do not have any thermal paste between the body and aluminum plate - so they get quite warm and will not last as long as much more expensive LED lighting fixtures. IMHO.Pics 16 & 17 are a few pages from the user manual to show programming and DMX capabilities - which were all tested (in 10-channel mode) and function consistent with these descriptions. I did not test master/slave.I recommend this fixture as a worth while purchase.

I only used this in 4-channel DMX mode, so can't speak to the remote's functionality. I've used this as a wash uplight and it's very bright and vibrant. Hard to beat for the money.

I guess ya get what ya pay for. This product has failed almost immediately and have yet to be made whole for the poor quality of the product. Will not buy again at this point
