I bought this product to dampen and alter the sound of my acoustic guitar and while it did it wasn't desirable imo. Luckily I also play tennis so I still have use for them. Great quality and durable product.

After drooling over a Fender Jaguar with a vintage mute and bridge cover and looking at my bank account, I put this on my tele or strat to mimic muted jaguar and rubber bridge tones. It takes some wiggling (and i pulled some old strings through the side that goes on the low strings to act as a file and open it up a little bit) but after getting it settled, it can do a weak mute by playing normal or a full muted jazzy tone by barely touching it with the pinky finger.Definitely get to experiment with "rubber bridge" tones.

So I didn’t use this for tennis at all. These fit perfectly in the strings of an acoustic guitar to deaden the strings and make them sound like a rubber bridge. Unfortunately your results may vary. I found this works best on parlor guitars while dreadnaughts and other standard acoustics are hit or miss depending on how wide their string spread is.
