I've been using this product for so long I don't even remember when I bought my first bottle! My senior dog was a pup and he passed 3 yrs ago at 15 so it's been a long time. I do usually order it straight from the company and pay almost the same for a 32 oz bottle as what the 16oz bottle is here. I've tried other products but nothing has ever worked as well as this. It keeps all ticks and mosquitoes away completely and will kill fleas in 5 seconds. I spray my dog once a day before he goes outside. I particularly love the fact that I don't have to do anything extra for mosquitoes either as long as he has this on. I love that it's only two ingredients, cedar oil and silica. The smell was much stronger years ago when I started using it but it's not as strong now and much more pleasant to use. Just be sure you keep it on hand!!

This is a great product. It is not harmful to the dogs, people, or the bugs it repels. It has a wonderful cedar/woodsy smell. Two pumps on my dogs, rub it into thier fur, and they smell great and are protected for 3-4 days

I was wary of whether a natural spray would work, but my dogs have been using this for two years and IT WORKS (against fleas, at least)! I know because if I miss/forget to spray them, they actually get fleas. I have no idea if this works against ticks--my dogs haven't gotten ticks since using the spray, but I don't think there are many ticks in our area to begin with (Southern California) and I don't take them camping or hiking, or other areas where they'd be more exposed to ticks. I selected this spray because cedar oil is non-toxic (many other sprays use oils that can be toxic in certain amounts or if ingested, and if your dog tries to lick the spray off like mine does, that can be a problem) and it doesn't contain SLS (instead uses hydrated silica as the carrier liquid).

Dr. Ben’s is the best I’ve found at killing any fleas that get on my pups. They don’t like the cedar smell too much, but given the choice between fleas and cedar, I’ll take cedar any day! This product is super, but I’ve now paired it with Earth Animals Internal Flea and Tick Powder (regular or yeast-free) and the two together work like gang busters! I highly recommend this combo if you are looking for a natural way to get rid of fleas (and maybe ticks, though we really don’t have a tick problem here, so I can’t say for sure about the ticks). An added bonus...Dr. Ben’s seems to make their coats smooth and shiny, too.

I've used this product before, but I bought it in a larger size from a different vendor and got more for the money. It will kill fleas and even mites without harming your dog, but don't get it in his or her eyes or nose. I spray the pup's bedding, too. Much better than chemical flea preventives that can make your pet sick.

Pros: This kills flees in a moment. I sprayed it on my mattress when I removed the pad to wash and when I came back five minutes later, there were two dead flees.Cons: It does not kill eggs or larva from what I can tell, so it didn't interrupt the cycle and eliminate the flees. I used it every few and still couldn't kill all the flees. Cats also hate being sprayed (duh) and it gets used up fast when used even every few days.So-so: The smell is not bad. If you want to be nostalgic, it smells like an old cedar chest. If you want to be honest, it smells like you're living in a hamster cage. The smell is very strong (animals don't like it) so if you have allergies or headaches due to strong scents, don't buy this. Not the natural miracle cure I was hoping for...

We bought this because we have puppies but I was sadly disappointed. It didn't work at all and smelled terribly

My wife got a tip from a Shih-Tsu breeder about this product. She recommends it for itchy, dry skin problems and flea control. It works like a charm. The smell is pleasant and the dogs quit scratching immediately. BTW- another tip was Dawn detergent for flea control. That works wonders as well - no more fleas or pesticides! I highly recommend this product.
