It was cheaper than the whole valve cover, and worked like a champ. When the 2010 XC needs it, and it will at some point, I'll purchase the same part. Easy to install and fixes the problem...

took off old cap, by breaking the tabs. all the "hooks" on the body are in good shape.followed someone's advice to put the "diaphragm" in place with the engine running.the engine vacuum keeps diaphragm and spring down.verified I had the cap in the correct orientation.placed the back of the cap on first, ( to get it to hook) and then pressed the cap down. The tab's didn't hook. I tried taping it down with a rubber mallet. ( fairly gently)the tabs still didn't hook. I feel the rubber diaphragm is too thick. as I compared it the original.I contacted the company, explained the issue, they refunded me. Just wanted others to know the part doesn't work on a volvo xc90 3.2L motor.

Stopped the whistle and massive vacuum. The oil cap could barely be pulled off(with engine running) becaue of so much vacuum.Changed this part and it's good now. Not sure for how long.Step 1: get a sharp tiny screw driver and use a hammer to break the at least 3 of the tabs off the old cap being careful not to damage the tabs that stay on the valve cover.Step 2: CAREFULLY pry off the old one. (It will be on an angle)Step 3: put spring in position first, then put the diaphram on top.Step 4: start the engine and the vacuum will suck the diaphram into perfect position. Still check to make sure it's seated properly.Step 5: carefully put the new cap on. (I gently tapped it with the grip of a screw driver). You can put lubricant on the tabs so it slides on easier.

Fit our Landover perfectly. Just break a couple tabs on the old one to pop it off and stick this on. Don't have to buy the whole valve cover like land Rover wants you to think. If your car is making a high pitch humming sound, pull the oil dip stick out and if it goes away it's could be your pcv valve. Ours was clogged up and the rubber flap on the inside was torn.

My Volvo had the loud tea kettle squealing noice happening intermittently. I didn’t want to spend the $200+ to replace the entire breather box or take 3 hours replacing it. This was a perfect fit for 2010 Volvo S80 3.2. Literally took about 10-15 min. Simply break the old one off using a flat head by snapping the bottom of the plastic pieces off, then pop the new one on using a rubber mallet and glue hand to push it into place. I have a full video up on YouTube under Skiz888. Time will tell if this stops the noise, but I assume it will and it was a simple fix. Ps I don’t think this is a genuine Volvo part as it didn’t say Volvo on it like the old one, but for $25 I’d happily replace this once a year if I had to since it’s simple to do.

Right in the product description it states that it fits 2011-2016 S60. The part is not even close to the same size. It is much larger in diameter and twice as deep as the actual part. I had to return and keep searching for the right part as there were several items similar to this all stating that they would fit the S60 but do not.

I did two different cars this weekend. A XC60 T6 and a S60 T6 R-design. Both car had exhibit PCV issue, high vacuum on the dipstick and oil filler cap and occasional high pitch squeal. On the XC60 I replace the entire oil trap and on the S60 just the PCV diaphram. On inspection both diaphrams had between a 1/2" - 1" rip in them. After replacing the oil trap and PCV diaphram on both cars, the high vacuum on dipstick and oil filler cap went away and both cars are idling much smoother and no squeal. I didn't have a check engine light so nothing to check or reset there for anyway. A side note replacing the diaphram took about 15 minutes. replacing the oil trap took over 3 hours and a lot of cursing.

2009 Volvo XC90 3.2L; 160,000 mi; Started the high pitch high volume whistle! Oh No! Pulled oil dipstick, noise stopped.Alright! This should be an "easy" fix? Right? Popped the old one off, after breaking the tabs off with a small flat screwdriver cuz I wasn't going to waste any more time than absolutely necessary in 10F weather messing around with old brittle plastic! Then, correctly aligned this new cap, used a rubber mallet to lightly smack it on until it clicked onto the old tabs. Took less than 10 minutes. Started the car back up and hooray, noise gone!Cleaned up the old part, and yep, the rubber diaphram was 30% split. So, $30 part and 10 minutes vs $120 Volvo, or $75 DOrman and probably 3-4 hoours to repalce whole oil trap! An excellent value!
