This igniter heating element is well constructed. The wiring uses a silicone infused cloth insulation for thermal protection. The heating element is encased in a thick-walled stainless steel.

I was able to install this in less than an hour after watching a couple YT videos. I did not even have to take off the rear panel as some had said. You can switch it out by removing both side panels and some finesse and a little cussing (j/k), okay I'm not but it really wasn't bad. Fired up the stove immediately after install and it works better than new. Have not had an ignition problem since!

I bought two of these. One to replace my three-year-old original igniter, plus one to keep as a spare. Both stopped working after less than one month of use. NOT recommended!
