This timer is brightly lit and, though small, should be easy enough to see in my small home gym. My only concern at this point is that the instructions for setting up the different functions aren’t instantly clear, so it’s going to take more time for me to delve into them before I can actually use this.

This review is for PELLOR Mini Gym Timer, Portable Gym Timer Clock with Powerful Battery Strong Magnet. Oh I am in love with this little timer/clock. I am not a gym person, but in the week after I got it I used it twice – first as a travel clock and then as a timer for a group I was facilitating. I took it on a trip because I knew I would have time to figure out how to use it for my facilitation work and was very pleasantly surprised to find that it’s also an excellent travel clock. I always have trouble seeing the time at night in the hotel room (yes, I have a lighted watch and a phone but neither really worked well for me). This is great because it can be recharged so it doesn’t have to sit by an outlet and the lighted display is dimmable. It does not have an alarm – but I can use my phone for that. It’s a nice small travel size. Better, though, was its use in facilitation. We were at tables of 4, and I was able to set it so that each person could speak for 3 minutes, then have a 30second grace period if they needed to wrap up, and this repeated 4x – once for each person. When that was over, I used the countdown timer to give the table a 5 minute open discussion. It was great! You can set the “F1” timer for whatever duration you want (I chose 3min), the “C1” timer for whatever duration you want (30sec) and then the “C” for the number of repeats (I chose 4). This would be great for timeboxed study sessions, managing your work day, music practice and more. I think letters that had more meaning would be better than “F1”, “C1”, and “C”, and an alarm would be a nice addition. The magnet doesn’t matter to me. I give it 5 stars.

I really wanted to love this but it’s ok. The timer itself is a good size for a smaller on as advertised. You can charge it use for hours as a clock or timer etc. No remote which is down fall #1 and the magnetic back is very weak. The timer slides down the entire time and doesn’t hold a good magnetic connection. I had to put other magnets underneath it to hold it into place on my whiteboard and on the fridge. Needs some upgrading for a better review.

the display in this timer is very bright and the numbers are big enough to see easily. i love that the battery display is on the face. the battery has held a charge for a few days, i've used it twice. i like using it for workouts (it has a tabata timer AND a HIIT timer), but also for other timed activities. it's not always ideal to use my phone for the timer, especially if i'm using my phone to view a workout or a recipe, or if the battery is low. it's very portable, so it's easy to bring room to room. the magnet is strong, but not so strong that it's a struggle to remove from the surface
