There are no hints or instructions in the air shrinked rolled up package. The super hinge does not work well. It took two people to get it to fold. The mattress it self is o, but I would never purchase this again.Also, I sent an email to the company, thought maybe I was doing something incorrectly, and NEVER heard back. Medium product, abysmal customer service.

I purchased this futon mattress replacement with the expectation that it would keep its form when placed on the futon frame. No such luck. The mattress sags in the area just above the seat area. It also feels pretty soft when one sits on it, so simply does not have much in the way of internal support. This is also supposed to be an 8" thick mattress, but it is 6" thick. This product was billed as "finest quality futon mattress" but it certainly is not that, nor does the product meet the description. So, I am quite disappointed to be honest.On the positive side, it fits the futon frame very well and I really like the fabric and cover. It was protected pretty well when packaged for shipping by being wrapped in a cellophane-type of material, then with another outer plastic covering over that. However, being that there are other deficiencies and the product is not as described, I cannot recommend it.

Most futon mattresses are floppy and look quite sloppy. This folded so nicely, at first I was concerned that it may not because of the inner springs and it's quite thick. It was a slight battle trying to put it on the futon while it was in the seated position, so I laid it flat and then put the mattress on and folded it and it worked perfect. And it looks great!

We have an old futon - like 30-years old - so a really old futon - that was still in use until my daughter graduated from college two years ago. It had served as guest room furniture in my parents' guest room, then we inherited it for our guest room/office, then my daughter took it with her to college and when it returned with her it was relegated to the basement. We just moved to a smaller house and were going to get rid of it but decided it would once again serve a guest bed purpose in our new place, but not with the lumpy, beer-infused, musty mattress. This mattress arrived well-packaged, and my husband put it on our old frame by himself before I got home from work, so not too hard to get in place. It looks really nice and is comfortable to sit on as a couch. I cannot attest to how it is to sleep on. It doesn't feel too firm but seems to have some support. It bends easily where it is supposed to. I recommend.

Received yesterday. Unwrapped and placed onto futon in open condition. Allowed to "breathe" overnight. When trying to close futon into seating position, found it virtually impossible for me alone, as the unit simply refuses to "break" in the middle. Finally, with help, got it into the upright ("seating") position but needed to place heavy weight on it to prevent it popping back into open position, which it's doing repeatedly.It's a nicely tailored and apparently well-made mattress, but hard to believe that they think people will be okay with this difficulty in setting it up. Hopefully it will accept the flat position soon. If so, I think it will serve the purpose quite well.

The Mattress is exactly as advertised. I was a little confused when it came rolled up, I wondered how they did that with an inner-spring mattress. I opened it up and let is sit flat for a day to regain its shape. The fabric is very nice and it is quite comfortable to sleep on. It stays in the folded position very well and does not slide off the frame like previous mattress I've had, even when the dogs jump up on the futon. Worth the money.

Size is about 2 inches width short. I messured exact to existing futon. Because it's short on width it sinks into the sides where most people would lean or sit against the side walls of a futon. Honestly I think its the sole contributor to my neck pain this last month. In the middle it feels nice. I also have stick matt, and the back "appears" to stick, but I spend every single day lifting it back into position multiple times, jamming the bend back into positon. I don't know if the springs are too aggressive or if they should have created a fold where there doesn't appear to be one. It's like it constantly wants to turn into mattess mode.

We picked up a used futon for free from the Facebook Marketplace, a nice steel one that came with a somewhat OK mattress pad, but I decided to seek something better. Finding this was a Godsend, because it makes a standard futon mattress seem shabby and inadequate by comparison. Even my cats like it better!The innerspring mattress arrived in a compact roll, fairly easy to move, even though I'm disabled. I placed the roll on the futon platform, and gently sliced the plastic away, and poof! A couple of quick adjustments, and I had a futon worth sitting or laying on. The innerspring mattress is MUCH more comfortable than any standard futon mattress, and beats a hide-a-bed by a country, city, and suburban mile.Because of its thickness, it also makes standing up a lot easier! My futon actually feels as good as a decent quality sofa, and certainly lots better than one we had a few years ago.This is a purchase I don't regret, and can't recommend it ore highly for futon owners!
