This is a new type of filter I have ever used for a new pool pump system I recently purchased. Very easy to use. I bought two so that I may put in a clean one and use the pool immediately when I change filters. Cleaning the filter has been a breeze. It is well made. I sit on my deck and just spray between the folds watching debris, dead bugs and what not fall out the bottom. I let it dry and then store it for the next filter change. They appear to be very high quality. It's been a few months and the filter changes have gone well. They still look new and will be around a while I am thinking. Excellent quality for the price.

I am a first time pool owner, just purchased my house in June (2015). Upon arriving at my new home, I discovered the previous tenants had neglected the pool equipment for a decent amount of time, in fact, when I moved in the pool was green...I had no previous experience with pools, so my brother-in-law, who has a lifetime of experience with pools, came over to show me what needed to be done. Obviously we had to shock the pool first but beyond that the only thing wrong with the pool was the filter, it was absolutely disgusting... and falling apart.I ordered this filter to replace the old one and it is amazing. My pool has been clear and absolutely perfect for months, in fact, I ordered a second one so I can switch them out between cleanings.As far as cleaning goes, I remove the filter, rinse it with the hose or sometimes a light pressure wash, then put it in a large plastic tub with some dish detergent (removes body oil, sunscreen, etc) overnight, then let it dry out in the sun (kills any leftover bacteria) for a few hours, then it is ready to be put back into the system.I have not had a single problem with my pool ever since replacing this filter, and my pool gets a lot of use, especially on the weekends when my family comes to visit. If you have a system that is compatible, this is the one to buy. The price is hugely better than the competitors and it is a legitimate product part.
