This is my 3rd SoftHeat heated Mattress pad, they seem to last for about 5 to 6 years with no issues and then die. The company is great to deal with and when our 1st one died at 5 years we contacted them and they replaced it without any questions. The replacement lasted about 5 to 6 years and then died.So I just bought this new one and I was very happy to see that the quality of the unit has improved:1) they have replaced the flimsy connectors with much better connector that hold the connection tight with no wobble like the old ones.2) the mattress pad seems to have more padding making it very comfortable and soft to sleep on3) the elastic around the pad is wider and holds the pad tightly on the mattress so that it does not slide around. So overall this is one of the nicest heated mattress pads that I have used, tried a Beautyrest heated mattress pad first and it was junk (constant errors, very uncomfortable, low heat) so I returned it for a refund and bought this one. This pad gets plenty warm (especially on high), you do not feel the wires at all, and because it is low power DC voltage it should have less or no emf, and the price on these are very good. Defiantly recommend this heated mattress pad!

After 10 years of owning the Perfect Fit Mattress Warmer, I noticed Amazon had this same product now produced by Royal Heritage Home for $34 and grabbed a new one. Perfect Fit filed for bankruptcy in 2020, and Royal Heritage obviously bought up the Perfect Fit assets. The new one works great. The controller on the original Perfect Fit warmer died about 5 years ago, and they made good on the warranty. I'm unsure if Royal Heritage will make good on the new product, should it fail. I tried emailing them with a question, and no response. I called today, and the line seems to only take messages. We will have to see. However, I gave the product a top rating because after using mattress warmers for the last 20 years, this product is the best. At $34, I really don't care if it just lasts a few years. We do not turn the heat on in the house at night, and the temp can fall into the low 50's in winter yet it is warm in the bed. If everyone had this, we could probably solve the energy crisis in this country. The low voltage transformer takes away safety issues, and the cost of use of electricity is minimal. The device uses 58 watts on high. So at mid setting, you are looking at about 29 watts per hour per controller for 8 hours of sleep. It will run 0.23Kilowatt hours per night at 20 cents per KWH here in Los Angeles. That comes out to 5 cents per night folks. The warmer is put under your bed sheets so you just don't know it's there. This may be one of the smartest energy saving comfort providing products every conceived. I have no association with the manufacturer, just really impressed with the benefit it provides.Update: Sadly, three weeks after this purchase one of the controllers has died. The company has not responded to message left. Will initiate Amazon return. Worked great while it worked.Update #2: As it turns out, it was the left side connector inside the blanket that failed, not the controller. Either way, with no response from customer service, I cannot recommend.

This heated mattress pad is nothing short of fantastic. The dual control, for both sides of the bed, make it ideal if you have a partner who likes the bed warmer or cooler than you. The dials are large, which can be a plus or minus depending on your preference, but the larger size makes the numbers easier to read. If you want a more discreet controller then you might not like how big they look on the nightstand, though both controllers could be placed just under the bed out of sight on either side.We have found that turning the pad on a few hours before bedtime makes the bed so cozy, so comfortable, that we both laugh when we get in under the covers. It's like getting into bed when you are cold only to snuggle up to someone who is already in the bed. With this pad neither one of us has to be the brave one, bracing cold sheets and warming the bed for the other, we both get to enjoy getting into a warm bed. We have found that we're leaving the heat off upstairs in our house because we don't need it with the bed being warmed for us. It's a nice contrast to have the house chilly only to sink into the warm bed. Seriously, my only regret is that we didn't get one of these years ago.The pad itself is less like a pad, more like a mattress cover in that it's not a thick block sitting on top of the mattress, it's soft enough to conform to the bed. We have a cal king and this pad heats the bed from top to bottom. I am tall and even stretched out to the fullest, toes almost touching the foot board, the pad is warm right to the edges of the bed, it heats evenly all throughout the bed; there are no cold or lukewarm spots. My hubby runs a lot warmer than me (I am always freezing). We've found that even though I like it much hotter it does not affect the temperature of his side of the bed. This was worth the somewhat spendy price tag. Maybe because I paid over a hundred dollars for it I was super critical when we first used it, but even I could not find a single con to using this. I turn the pad off when I get into bed and have found that sometimes I wake up a little dehydrated in the morning, not sure if that's because of the increased temperature of the bed the night before. I have had the best nights sleep I ever had with this mattress pad. My hubby has a bad back and this pad seems to relieve his pain somewhat. Honestly, if you are on the fence about this because of the price tag, don't be. It is worth every single penny. Five stars all the way.
