My first hint that I would be receiving a well made set of pergola mounting brackets and plates was seeing a label on the shipping box that said the word "HEAVY". And guess what? That box WAS Heavy.My apologies for not including a 'finished project' photo(s) as I'm still not finished with my project using these quite beautiful and well made brackets. I've had weather issues here in Florida, my helper has been sick and I need him to lift and hold the heavy 4" X 4" timber, he's out sick.These beautiful brackets are professionally welded correctly and are powder coated to insure many, many years of use and visual enjoyment. It's too soon to comment on how long these brackets can withstand the salty weather here in Florida and remain newish looking. I'll post an update later when finished.The kit does come with a good assortment of screws, but my situation facilitated different screws from the hardware store....no biggie.I cannot wait to finish this project as I've needed a cover over my sunny patio for years and I'm tired of the wind blowing my umbrellas all over the yard. I will be covering the opening with a sail cloth for shade and protection from the direct rain, and I have zero doubt that these HEAVY brackets will be perfect for my project.

Solid product, poor powder coating, scratches east (sand and repaint) hardware is garbage, package included 1-1/2 sheet metal screws. This doesn’t work for the wood. I purchased Simpson strong tie black coated wood screws from Hardware store (box of 50 acres $14.99) also the concrete anchors are too small for my area that experiences high wind, I purchased 3/8x 3-1/2 anchor screws. Had to drill the holes in the post base which was a bit tuff and will wear out your drill bits. So drill slow and use lubricant to keep the blade cool. This is tuff steel and that’s what makes this a good product. I purchased the pergola and adjustable linkages on Amazon. The sail stretches significantly. So you will need to adjust daily to keep the tension.

Already has rust on the edges and around areas where the paint isn't uniformly distributed!It's a nice heavy piece of steel, fits 4x4s perfectly, but the rusting is a deal breaker. If it's going to rust, it's simply not suitable for the long haul.Too bad, really wanted to like this, since the price was reasonable, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to last long with rust already showing on all pieces. Returning for another option.
