How to determine the size of your pergola for 4x4 wood posts
The height (B) is calculated from the height (A) of the short side. The length of the angled wood (D) can be determined by the span (C). For kits with a waterproof top, use the top length (in inches) as the C measurement.
A: What is the height of the short side(A) inch( According to your measurement size)
B: The Length/Span of the tall side will be (B=A+0.26*D) inch
C: What is your desired span (C) inch (According to your measurement size)
D: The length of the angled lumber will be (D=C/0.966) inch

Work well but the design (bolting to an existing wall on one side rather than create a free standing structure) created some challenges for what I wanted. Can be made to work with basic woodworking skills.
