Our cememonial hand crafted rattles are made by the artist in Peru. Each features a hand-etched motif of the crescent moon, Mamakilla, and the sun, Intion reverse. Trimmed on the chonta handle with colorful cotton thread windings and topped with natural fibers. Each piece is a unique work of art and has it own sound. Item is adorable, until I picked it up and got splinters in my hand! The handle is not sanded and full of rough edges to get splinters from. It’s a good thing I didn’t let a child pick it up. Very disappointed.And now I have to box it up to send back, when I don’t even want to touch it for fear of more splinters.
