I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the TailGurus Pet Flea Comb at first; how could a simple comb really tackle both tangles and fleas effectively? However, after using it on my furball for a few weeks, I’m genuinely impressed with how effortlessly it glides through his coat, leaving it smooth and free of knots.

I have two British Shorthair cats that both have very different fur. They both have thick fur; however, one is more of a lush silky finer fur and the other is a soft fluffy fur that's more prone to clumps. The cat with the silky fur is much larger than the cat with the white fluffy fur.The grooming comb did work on both cats and I found that it was more gentle when brushing the clumps than other grooming combs and brushes I have used in the past. I also liked that it's not quite as sharp, and it can also be used by having the plastic part of the head down against the fur instead of the teeth so that away the teeth are not digging into the skin.This grooming comb is quite large since it is meant for both dogs and cats and I found it to be suitable for my large 20 pound cat but a bit too large for my little 12 pound cat. I can still use it on the small cat but I think a smaller version would be better.I was not impressed by the amount of hair that it removed- I was hoping for a bit more hair removal as my cats shed quite a bit. I also think that it would have been nice if the comb came with some sort of instructions on the best way to brush.I think this grooming comb is not meant for removing shedding hair, but rather to make their coats softer and more shiny while removing some hair in the process.

The TailGurus Pet Comb has proven effective for grooming my dogs. It works well to remove knots and tangles without causing any discomfort. The combination of long and short steel teeth seems to do a good job at detangling, especially on longer coats, leaving their fur looking shiny and smooth.Both of my dogs enjoy the grooming process, which is always a positive indicator that the comb is gentle enough for them. I compared this with our other tool (SleekEZ). The long handle on this one makes grooming easier on the wrist than with the comparison tool.The SleekEZ has very short metal jagged edge (no real tines), so it works well to remove loose hair and doesn't get too bogged down. This long tine tool did snag a few areas (our dog was not a fan of that) but does go much deeper and removed more hair, as long as you clean it out regularly and go slow where it might snag (mainly the rear and neck fur) this will work very well for grooming long haired dogs.

Excellent comb. Really grabs the excess hair from top and undercoat of my dog, and makes the process effortless. Gently pulls out the matting that occurs at the area where his neck meets upper back. Dog really enjoys this brush. The handle is rubber wrapped and sturdy, making it easy to grip, and the size, comparing to a computer mouse, isn't very large but large enough. Easy to maneuver around back and sides and thighs. Not for chest or belly use however as the comb might irritate and scratch skin. Cleanup of gathered hair is also effortless. Simply grab and pull off the comb. Dog is happy and so am I!

We needed a new brush for our dog since our old one just didn't work that well. I saw this brush and thought it looked really simple and even though it cost more than the previous brush we had, I wasn't sure that it would work that well. I figured I'd give it a chance though and boy am I glad I did. This brush is worth every penny! My dog absolutely loved this brush and had no problem letting me use it on him. I had seen other brushes that had a vibrating massager in them or had a steaming effect and I knew those kinds would make him nervous as he's a dog that scares easily. This is one of the reasons I was looking for a more simple brush. My dog is a small to medium sized Yorkie with areas of medium length fur to areas of longer fur. His fur can get knotted some but this brush was able to get those knots out fairly easy with out hurting him. It also helped to remove loose hair from shedding which was great since it tends to get everywhere. After he had been brushed, we noticed an improvement immediately in how his fur looked and that we had less fur on our furniture. I also loved how this brush felt in my hand. It's the perfect size and weight to make it feel super comfortable in your hand. Not only did this brush make my dog happy but it also made this dog mama happy as well. If you're in need of a new brush for your dog or your cat, you can't go wrong with this one!
