They last a long time and the dogs really like them. I recommend getting a comb to clean off the hair from the spikes as its a bit easier and more effective than trying to bend it and grab the hair and contains the hair better than banging it against a pole or similar.

This was recommended on a reddit post. It doesn't disappoint! It is a fantastic grooming tool and my dog loves it! Easy to clean by vacuuming after you have used it. I would think it could probably go in the wash aslo.

Sure! This will help when washing your pet and grab onto hair that has come loose and likes to hang around in their coat- utilizing this can eliminate that excess hair being left on furniture, carpet and clothing!!This can also be a useful tool keeping their skin healthy and sloughing off dead skin so, skin itself can stay healthy without irritation. Something we forget when animals have fur- they have skin also needs to be cared for!Personally, I prefer the combing mechanism a bit more then, the mitt- it seems to reach the pups undercoat of their fur a lot better.. but, this definitely is a strong second! When using I like to make circular motions while soaping/scrubbing and then, brush once more against the grain of fur. This helps gather any stubborn pieces trying to hide! This is easy to put on and keep clean. Are use a human pick when removing hair from the brush itself. Then, I do a soapy rinse of mitt and let it air dry so, it’s ready to go the next time. For anyone who owns a pet that sheds.. this is a must. If not this, definitely find something else similar.. if, you are faithful using- you’ll see and improvement in hair around the house! Couldn’t get better than that...Hope this info helps… Feel free to let me know!

Excelente producto, los materiales son muy buenos, fácil de usar y en verdad me facilito el baño de mi perra, el único punto en contra es que es difícil de quitar el pelo que se queda atorado en el cepillo

I bought this because my great dane is terrified of regular brushes. She seems to tolerate it quite well and it did break free a lot of her loose hairs. It fills up pretty quickly though and then the hairs just pile up on her backside wherever my stopping point is then the hairs start to pile up on the floor. I think I might have been able to make another dog out of the pile of hair on my floor. It probably wouldn't be so bad if she didn't run from normal brushes and attempt to hide under the table which means she had a lot of hair built up already. It is not very easy to clean her short hairs out of the mitt either. She seems to think I'm just petting her like normal which is exactly what I was hoping for.My cat is afraid of this glove so I can't use it on her though and she also is not fond of most brushes. The back side meant to clean hairs off furniture kind of works but not as well as I had hoped it would. It might just be the type of couch I have though. It's a corduroy couch. It might work better on a different material.

One of my cats is having an issue with furballs. According to my vet, my cat has the worst kind, tight, thick furballs that are more likely to create blockage. I had been brushing her with the Furminator, but because the Furminator is hard plastic and metal teeth, there's no flexibility. This means I couldn't get to areas around her legs and arms, or really any tight corners (so to speak.). She was still having furball issues after a month of using the Furminator, so I decided to get this glove to use in addition to the Furminator. After brushing her with the Furminator I went over the same area with the Petmate Furbuster. I was surprised to find that after 3 - 4 strokes I had a full glove of cat fur. When I was finished I had removed nearly 4 full gloves of hair from her. She looked beautiful when I was done with her shiny, healthy, coat of fur. I think I could have removed even more fur, but she had gotten overstimulated and hissed at me to stop. :-) I am now using this instead of the Furminator. I think the Furminator is still a good brush, but designed more for bigger animals, not so much for cats. The flexibility of this Furbuster is excellent, and the fact that the area of the brush itself is so large means more cat hair is removed overall. This should really help cats with furball issues, as well as general grooming. One note, my cat has medium length hair. Looks like this is not as good for cats with long hair, based on other reviews I read.

Ever get annoyed by fur that just WON'T come off of your clothing or upholstery? Let's face it--there's only so much that lint rollers and pieces of tape can do.Or does your dog plain refuse to sit still when you attempt to brush him during a bath? This is the answer to both of those situations! The rubber bristles on the one side are strong enough to get all of that excess fur off of your dog while bathing him, yet pliable and soft enough to provide a gentle substitution to brushes that your dog more-than-likely will allow continued use of. I feel that it helps massage the shampoo into my dogs fur better than I've ever seen. On the other side, we have a fabric that attracts the fur on your linens and furniture and keeps it stuck there until it is washed off. It's amazing what a difference this makes! Now, a review on this glove says that it doesn't work. I'm not 100% sure why that is for them, but I have a feeling it might have to do with the fabric side of the glove. On it, by the band that fits around your wrist, is a small arrow that looks like this I have loved the Furbuster ever since I brought it home from the store--so much so that I decided to order this as my second one!
