This product works it just takes some time to teach your animals how to use it. Upon using it partially outside I had to replace the adhesive strength at some point. It also didn’t look the best aesthetically but we kept it up to help our animals.

Was exactly what I needed and works as you would expect! It’s a little finicky to tie the string exactly where you need it but otherwise setup is very easy.

Works mostly, though the elastic does not have a great angle on the door and the door doesn't always shut and if i increase it too much my cat struggles to open it. Generally works though.

my cats always push or pull the door all the way open whenever it's closed, this is great to return it to a closed position when people in another room are listening to music or the ac is on in one room. the only downside is the velcro adhesive isn't stronger than the velco itself. but replacing that isn't hard and not a big deal on a $20 product like this

Installation was easy but with some guessing here and there to make sure everything worked the way it was supposed to.As for how well it works: it works great! Door is closed just enough where you can have some privacy and it uses Velcro strips so you can remove and reattach it as needed. Had to train the cat a little on how to effectively use it but now I don't have to worry about my buddy accidentally getting locked in or out of the room.

As the title says, this was the perfect solution for me. I have one cat 4 months into my household who eats in my bedroom because my male is still stalking her and stealing her food after a long introduction process. She decided she was ready to leave the room in spite of him, though, but she comes into my room to get some space, love, and overnight - my male has never been allowed in my room overnight since he was a kitten because that is zoom time.Anyway, long story short, I needed something that would allow her to go in and out while I'm at work so she can access her food and litter box. The catch is I am also renting and have roommates. I was leaving my door cracked about 3 inches for her, and it was really uncomfortable, so this has been a life-saver in terms of getting some of my privacy back. As other reviews mentioned, it does leave a small gap, 1/4-1/2" at most, but is so much better than what I was doing before. Some tips on using this product based on other reviews:1. I put adhesive fabric for scratching on the outside of my door where my cats need to push and then wrapped the door piece used to open it in that adhesive fabric as well. After I modeled it for them, this helped my cats go to and to and target the areas they needed naturally rather than me having to play with paws. My female figured out how to enter last night and just figured out how to exit about half an hour ago.2. The instructions for this product are on the back of the BOX. I saw one review that mentioned this.3. Lastly, the little elastic bead caps aren't necessary, one only needs to wrap the elastic around the attachments to the door and the wall to make the door shut. The hardest part was playing with the tension and getting that right, but that was probably 5 minutes tops. This is an awesome product that has created so much releif for me, and I can't believe more companies aren't making copycats, because this is the only product like this I was able to find. Awesome concept and functionality.

This probably works better for interior doors and mid to large dogs. Idea is great but band didn’t close door after a few times and Velcro didn’t last very long.

Many problems with this. 1. if set elastic strap so door will close after its opened for pet, its not easy for pet to open door. 2. the adhesive isn't strong enough to support weight of piece attached to door, Velcro hold fine, but adhesive didn't stay on long enough to allow me to try using it with pet. I used weather tape, but humidity didn't allow that to hold, might try gorilla tape, but still pet having issues getting door open to go out. My recommendation don't waste time or money on this.they need to add a negative star to the star rating so can leave a rating on a scale of 1 to five stars this is Minus 2 stars not a 1 star

I was very nervous buying this bc there were not a lot of reviews, but I took a chance on it and I'm very glad I did. I rent my townhome, so cutting a cat door into my bedroom door was not an option for me. I personally like sleeping w my bedroom door shut and so I was looking for something that would allow my 2 cats the ability to come and go as they please without me needing to keep my door open all the time. This does the trick and is renter friendly. It's simple enough to install. With this device installed my door now shuts ALMOST completely. It doesn't leave a crack in the door but it also doesn't allow it to completely shut either. This doesn't bother me at all, but it's something to think about.I worked w my cats for 3 or 4 days before they finally felt comfortable enough to use it, and now they're pros! They either push the handle w their head to enter my room, or pull the handle w their paw to exit my room. Its pretty great. You can adjust the tightness of the wire to ur liking depending on how fast or slow u want ur door to close back after the kitty opens it. I prefer it to shut more slowly and softly so it doesn't accidently shut on their tails. All in all, it's a smart product and works just as it should. Very happy to have this. 10 outta 10 do recommend.
