What is Melt and Pour Soap Base?
Melt and Pour Soap Base is a pre-made soap that you can melt down, add scent and colorants and let harden inside your own molds.
It’s an easy way to make your own customized soap at home without having to handle some of the more caustic chemicals like lye or purchasing safety gear.
The soap base already went through the full saponification process (the chemical reaction that makes lye safe for skin), therefore you can enjoy your soap immediately, rather than waiting 4-6 weeks for it to completely cure as with the cold process.

Melt and Pour Soap Base Directions:
Cut soap base into pieces
Cut the Pifito Melt and Pour Soap Base into small chunks and place into a container. Heat soap in a microwave, at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one. Melted base should be smooth and liquidy, with no lumps or chunks. Alternatively, the soap base can be melted in a double boiler.
Add essential oils and colorants
Add colorants, fragrance oil or essential oil to the melted soap. If desired add florals.
Pour mixture into mold
Slowly pour soap into mold. Soap should be hard enough to unmold in a few hours.
Let soap cool until hardens
Once completely hardened, pop the bars out of the mold. You can use your soap right away.

This oatmeal soap is awesome! Added some lemon zest to make Lemon Soap. Works great! Wonderful for the skin.

Used this as a base for little breast milk soaps. Very easy to use and hardened fast! Made about 20 small molds with half of a bar.

Cut into very small pieces and heat on 3-5s intervals if you use a microwave. I had a hard time keeping the temp right. I have used other melt and pour soaps that had a much larger range, this one overheats very quickly. One 25s interval boiled the smallest bits but didn't melt enough to be able to stir. Lots of goopy globby soap. I did expect some visible oatmeal pieces and this base was just white, so I added some pulverized oats after I melted and they suspended nicely and added to the look I wanted. It does lather nicely and feel good but I will be trying another brand to gauge oatmeal melt and pour ease of use.

Decided to make my first breastmilk soap and used this oatmeal base option. It melted quick and easy. I did get bubbles though which I read meant I over heated it a bit but honestly I think its cause I poured it too quickly and it caught air. So maybe don’t do that lol. But it worked great. Great soft scent. I poured some oatmeal on top as it set and it looked great!

Easy to use and my homemade soaps turn out great. Plus you don't have to worry about using lye. Great product will continue to buy.

This oatmeal base is creamy and nice to use. Also it melts easily and takes color and scents well. The oatmeal pieces sink to the bottom of the mold but that is not a huge problem for me. I have filled silicone molds half way with the hot soap base and stirred it so that the oatmeal does not sink to the bottom. This is time consuming but I love the way the soap lathers and will continue to buy it. It is expensive because it costs a lot to ship soap.

Very easy to use and it melts right away so you have to be careful and watch it when you’re melting. I ended up losing one full bar because it melted faster than expected and overflowed when I was meting.Easy and fun to use for projects . Had fun with my children adding herbs, coloring and essential oils.
