I wanted a three-season jacket that was substantial enough to cover me in the spring and fall seasons. As well as for trips to the very cold ski areas in the Sierras. The warmth is depending on whatever you put underneath the jacket. In terms of thermal or regular wool sweaters. Over your normal mens shirt. And I specifically wanted a duplex or two-way quality YKK zipper. With a storm flap covering the entire zipper area. And I wanted a rain hood that would fold out of the collar area. This jacket has all of that plus a good collection of zipper pockets for all your stuff. The jacket is probably too heavy for hot or summer weather.Let me add something about the color. I picked the navy color that in my opinion is even better than what is depicted in the Amazon website. Depending on the light, this jacket has a sophisticated navy gray look. With maybe even a slight navy metallic cast. The lining and the construction of the inside of the jacket appears to be of a really high-quality standard.One issue that relates to sizing. I am 175 on a 5-10 frame. I picked the XL. And I don’t think the L (large) would’ve been big enough to accommodate the heavier sweaters needed for very cold situations. But there is one area that may be a little different than what many people might expect. And that is the ”hemline” at the very bottom of the jacket where you start the process of zipping the jacket up using the YKK zipper. It’s really a little tight. But you could alleviate that by having a skilled tailor install a short vent and the back is a jacket. Without this modification, it’s always going to be a bit of a chore zipping the jacket up. But all-in-all this jacket is a real value!

This rain jacket has a durable outer shell, the zippers are covered, and it has a lining that helps to ventilate heat and sweat. Much better design than cheaper jackets with only a nylon shell. The size runs a tad large but not worth the trouble to return. It's a keeper!

Solid rain shell for the price point, only worn a few times but holds up well to the Seattle rain and is much more affordable than other leading brands. Inner/outer chest pockets, adjustable wrist cuffs/hood/waist bungees, full length zipper cover are all nice features to have. I ordered a navy men's medium and both the arm length and waist fits well for me at 5'11" 155lb. Outer chest pocket is a bit lower than I anticipated, but not a style turnoff. Will be playing golf with it soon.

Long enough to cover lower back (i ordered one size up so i could wear a big sweater under), lots of pockets, supposed to downpour tomorrow and I will be out on the trail trying it out. If you do not hear back, then the jacket did its job of keeping me dry.

We were traveling to Ireland. Notorious for it’s rainy weather. Travel rain jackets were a must. This jacket proved to be fully rain/water proof while allowing good breathability. Allowed me to stay dry and comfortable throughout the trip. Highly recommend.

Very sturdy outer shell. Think of a rain jacket with a really sturdy shell. Its basically a softshell rain jacket. Dont expect warmth (because there's basically nothing inside), expect a very well made, stylish, sturdy rain jacket. I personally have never really experienced anything like it. I've owned rain jackets, and softshell jackets, but this is something else. I like it ALOT... It looks GREAT!!! As for 66 dollars? Nope. I dont think its worth that. Around $50 to $55 is about right. If it had an actual liner in it, that might justify the $66 price tag. But its literally a beautiful hollow shell (Oh and... The zippers are smooth and work better than most reputable name brands)... I'm keeping it! (Oh and... If your order a 2X, your gonna get a 2X. They're not being stingy with the sizing)
