I got this to fix a piece of trim on my truck where the snap (ABS) had broken off. I cut a piece of mesh, grabbed an ABS rod and went to work. Within minutes, I had the snap back in place, and while the repair may look ugly (you can't see it unless you pop the trim piece off) the trim is held on like new. This kit saved me approximately $200.00 versus buying a new piece of trim, so in terms of value it is amazing! The kit works for more than just auto repair too!I also used the mesh and some PLA filament to fuse some PLA 3d prints together, which worked well, but it was not as easy to work with as the ABS rods that are included in the kit. I hope I don't need this set again for auto repair, but I am glad I have it if I do. In the mean time I am just happy knowing that this kit saved me a ton of money. If you are a hobbyist or simply want to try and fix some things to save a little money, than this kit is an excellent choice, as long as you already have a soldering iron or tool to use it properly!

We weld all types of plastic it seems and these rods and mesh are the perfect fit as far as expense and versatility. This whole kit will get used up on projects quickly.
