I broke mine out today to mount a led light to my boat and when i went to put a 10-24 rivet in it broke the screw tightening the rivet up had to drill it back out and do it again. It also broke the 1/4 in bolt also i am going to go get harder bolts to see if it helps works good beside this problem.

No replacement parts. The 1/4” gun head got damaged because I had to saw the screw off to free the gun when it got stuck into the rivnut. This happened twice, after 20 rivnuts I put in. Very disappointing.

This tool will not work for production quantities.Would not capture 3/8-16 inserts for stainless appliances.Switched to 1/4-20 inserts and it stripped the threads and could not remove from an expensive part. Had to razor wheel the collet off and lost the nut in the frame. Spend the money on a more reliable tool

This is a pneumatic riveting gun with a tons of self-locking head, with 6 pcs mandrels included. The RPM speed is adjustable which makes it fits various of materials and circumstances. Very handy and useful riveting tool.

We used it versus a $1000 Rivnut setter and it ran circles around the other one. Just keep it oiled, and the screw oiled and your fine.

Everything about this tool has gone way beyond my expectations. It is an extremely well designed and manufactured piece and there are many 'extras' included with this pneumatic rivnut tool.I use rivnuts almost every day and what I wanted was a tool that would set each rivnut exactly, identically the same every time. By manufacturing the rivnut setting tool in a pneumatic version Clatoon has not only addressed the consistency issue, they have also made a tool that makes inserting rivnuts so much easier. The tool comes with all of the necessary anvils and drives to install 10-24, 1/4-20, 5/16-18, and 3/8-16 threaded inserts. The brunt of the work is handled by simple, allen head screws. If, during rivnut installation, you apply too much torque, the screw will break. I have broken drives on manual insertion tools before and it ends up costing $10-$30 for a suitable replacement as well as the time it takes to get the replacement delivered. If the screw breaks on this gun you just replace a 15 cent allen screw instead of some bespoke mechanism. A very clever way of getting it done. The tool comes with multiple drives and anvils (all hardened appropriately) for each size as well as extra thrust bearings and a circlip for the mandrel. It is very complete. The air inlet is a very nice universal joint style fitting that uses straight threads and an O-ring seal. It does not leak. The exhaust is situated to blow away from the operator. The only problem I had is the inlet uses a restrictor that can be dialed from high to no pressure. It's relatively small and not divided or numbered. Small rotations can result in big changes in air pressure. When that happens, consistency is all but gone. This pressure is particularly critical on smaller, thinner rivnuts and can make the difference between a nice job or a broken installation screw. To make things a little more exact I dialed the restrictor to 100% flow and then installed a separate inline regulator with a gauge. Now, I can, for example, dial up exactly 32 lbs of pressure for a specific sized rivnut and I will get repeatable results each time. I suggest making a few test pulls in a similarly sized (thickness) piece of material to dial in exactly the pressure you need before doing the 'real' job. The air pressure may change depending on material and thickness so I keep track of my settings so I can repeat them on other jobs. The Clatoon rivnut gun was THE answer for me. I no longer dread having to install rivnuts and I can actually have some fun installing them now. I am extremely happy with this tool, but get an inline regulator and you'll make this tool 100%.
