The patches curl up before you can get them in place. The patches are thinner that the cheap inflatable is. Complete waste of time and money.

I ordered this BALORIZ Pool Liner Patch Repair Kit to repair a small tear in my dog's cooling mat. I made sure to let it cure for a couple days with a heavy weight on it so it could take good hold. It had held up for the past two months and I will report in if it does eventually fail to show how long it will hold for.

I obtained the patch kit to repair a pin hole leak in an Intex Air Mattress. The pinhole was in the side of the mattress with flocking and located in the valley between two of the air beams. Before attempting to seal the pinhole, I used 220 grit sandpaper to remove the flocking around the hole and cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol. The repair kit includes a tube of glue, a good supply of polyvinylchloride patches and a brush. The warnings and instructions are printed on the side of the box and the tube of glue. The instructions are vague, "cut it to the right size", "apply the appropriate amount of glue". The patches are unreinforced, clear plastic about as thick as the air mattress skin. The glue comes in a well-designed tube with a fine metal applicator tip and the cap has a small rod to keep the applicator tip clear. It is relatively difficult to handle the patch once the glue is applied. The patch starts to curl, and it sticks to your gloved fingers as you try to position it. Another set of hands should make the operation easier. After allowing the glue to dry overnight, my first attempt to patch the pinhole resulted in a poorly adhered patch that was obviously going to leak. I probably didn't apply the "appropriate amount of glue". After carefully removing the failed patch, I tried again, but applied some glue to the mattress around the pinhole and to the patch to improve coverage and adhesion. After pressing the patch in place overnight, it looked like it would hold and no bubbles were detected after reinflating the air mattress. The patch isn't on straight, and it is probably not "cut to the right size", but it is holding air in mattress. The next time I try to patch a pin hole I would probably use a 3/4" diameter round patch.

I got this to help me when I camp. My air mattress is tough and durable, but it is not impervious to cuts and punctures. I wanted to take a patching kit with me for those times when I find myself sleeping on a flat mattress between me and the ground or the floor of my Subaru because of a tear or puncture. When the package came, I read the instructions. If you are over 60 you may need a magnifying glass to read the print. I estimate it to be 3 or 4 point font. One negative thing (a very small negative thing) is the glue can setup in the tube if it is not covered quickly. From my viewpoint, if all I get is one repair at the right time and in the right place, I have gotten good value from this product. The small box contains a tube of PVC cement, a "dauber-type" of glue spreader and a good supply of clear PVC patches. The package clearly states that the repair must be applied with pressure from a heavy weight applied for 24 hours. This may not be the best thing if a leak in your air mattress occurs at night in your tent. But for all other repairs it shouldn't be a problem. If the item is worth repairing, then 24 hours will not be a 'deal-breaker'.The glue dauber/spreader will only be good for one use. After the glue cures on the dauber - it is done. All is not lost. A small square of heavy paper or a flat stick will work just fine to ensure a thin film of glue is applied uniformly.I have used the older types of universal rubber cements (think Goodyear). They were the best technology at the time (1960's) Sometimes they worked, other times not so much. They were prone to delaminations. This product does not de-laminate. One good thing about the curing time. If you get the glue on your hands you have time to clean it off.Recognizing the pluses and the limitations, this is a good product.

I'm so happy I found this. It actually works. I didn't use it on anything heavy duty, so I can't speak on that. I tried it on a swimming pool toy. I have a ring toss game that I absolutely love to use. Last year my great dane accidentally stepped on it with his giant foot and punctured it. I hadn't gotten rid of the ring toss yet. I had tried various repair products. I can't find that toy to buy again, so I was really hoping to save it.I ordered this not really feeling hopeful, since nothing else had worked. I applied it and waited a couple of days before inflating the toy. Once inflated I waited a few more days before even trying it in the water. Previous repairs failed as soon as I inflated the toy. This one stayed inflated though. I have now been able to use the toy all summer in the swimming pool and am so grateful.

Time will tell, but this seems to be a pretty good product. If you need to get two vinyl pieces stuck together to prevent any more leaking, I think this is what you need.

I ordered this to patch a leaky air mattress. It comes with several patches in different sizes, glue, and an applicator.Unfortunately, for my purposes, it did not work. I didn't even find the glue sticky. The instructions stress not to get it on your fingers. I did, and it wasn't a big deal. They didn't stick together, and I was able to wash it off.The kit seems to have the right stuff, but sadly, it didn't function as expected.

I used this to patch up a pinhole-sized leak in an air mattress. I first tried the patch kit that was included with the mattress, and it failed after a few hours. I applied this patch kit, and after a few days of the mattress being inflated it seems to be holding perfectly. Will see how long it lasts - so far I'm very pleased with this product. It was easy to use and seems to be holding up great - can't ask for much more than that!
