It is easy to install and works well. Only had it for a couple of weeks, but not having any problems and installation steps for simple.

Installation was a breeze and no leaks. After reading a number of reviews, the only downside I came across was the lack of a washer between the brass nut and the silicone seal. It seems a number of complaints was that when tightening the nut against the seal, it either twisted or scrunched it. In the absence of a washer, I smeared a very light coating of O Ring lube on top of the nuts flange. This certainly avoided the dry flange from gripping the seal and twisting it, giving it an even seal. Hope this helps.

So I wanted to replace my bathroom sink stopper with a pop-up kind. I really liked the build quality of this one since it was all metal, had the strainer basket attached to the stopper, was easy to take the stopper in and out, and the threading but was big and wide letting you grip it easily with vice grips. It installed fairly well, but the one thing I noticed is that it didn't sit flush with the drain. It sat raised a little bit. The reason this is a problem is that it doesn't let all of the water drain down. You get a small pool of water. There are two reasons, I think this why. It has a silicon gasket that sits between the metal flange and the sink drain that no matter how tight you tighten the nut squeezing the flange against the drain, you can't get it low enough to eliminate that gap. I tried removing the silicon gasket and used plumber's putty and that still didn't help. That brings me to issue #2. The ring of the flange is wider than the flange on the old drain that came with the sink so I don't think it will sit flusg down in the drain. The flange on the old drain was around 2". The flange on this one is almost 2.5". Issue #3: the flange on this one is flat. My old one had a cone shaped flange which funneled the water down. I think it also helped the drain sit flush with the sink as well and because this new one is flat, I think it helps with the standing water issue.I really wanted to like this drain, but I couldn't live with the small amount of standing water. I'm afraid it would cause rusting in the future.I ended up buying a Kohler popup drain and it had the cone shaped flange and it was smaller in diameter. It sits flush in my sink and no more water collects around the drain.Other reviewers reported this issue and we're fine with it, but I wasn't. Just a fair warning.

I bought one and am extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of this manual popup I installed in my sink drain. Great for vacation rentals and or tenants that tear your plumbing apart when their hair and soap collects around the old style ones. I watch several youtube videos before I attemp† a project like †his. I used Plumbers Putty inside the sink instead of the rubber or silicone washer after much research and experience with plumbers previous installations because it's very pliable and molds to the actual gaps between the sink and fixture as needed to make it water proof. My sink is at least 20 years old and it fit it perfectly. We used the silicone washer underweight bu† added some flexible (bathroom) silicone caulking around it for added protection from leaking then pushed the nut up and tightened it just no† to much. It seal great. Tested the drains and the overflow no leaks. I am going to buy 7 more for every other bathroom drain I have. My water fixture had a stem and we were able to bend and clap the stem from underneath the cabinet so it will not move now or no telling what a tenant† will do if they †think it is not working. I will make sure I tell my tenants it's a manual popup too.

PROS: well made, looks good, easy to use and clean, stopper can be positioned higher to increase water flowCONS: doesn't fit my sink wellI bought this REGALMIX to replace a traditional rod/clevis stopper. This makes it MUCH easier to clean the drain pipe. A spring pop-up stopper is the way to go.I replaced this REGALMIX pop-up five months later with a pop-up that has a smaller flange because this one left a puddle of water 4 7/8" across in the bottom of my sink. My original sink flange was 2.125", and this REGALMIX one is 2.4" so it doesn't sit as far down (it looked fine when dry). My new pop-up has a 2.125" flange and doesn't leave nearly as much water in the sink. One thing I liked very much about the REGALMIX is the basket below the stopper has two rubber o-rings around it (my basket does not match the photo) which provide resistance so I could pull the stopper up another 1/8" and it would stay in place, allowing water to drain more quickly. I liked that so much that I used two small rubber bands on my new one (around a vertical bar of the basket and over the center shaft) to achieve the same effect.I also like the extended nut on the REGALMIX, so I'm using it on my new drain pipe which came with a tiny nut.

I like this product. It is similar to other products but after the initial installation, I , so far, have not had any leaks. There is another product from Regal that has a slightly different stopper. I think this one, with the smaller diameter stopper is better because you can se the drain easier. On the other model, you might have to always pull out the basket to see the drain hole.I did not use the supplied washers at the top flange. Why? With the washers, the basin will not drain completely because the flange is slightly above the level of the basin. Instead, I used a bead of plumbers putty around the flange and this squeezed out when I tightened the large nut at the bottom. Draining is great. This product has a one piece tube, as opposed to some offerings that have a two piece tube. I tried the two piece tube first and it had leaks at the junction. It is not obvious the ones with a two piece tube. However, I did solve the leaky two piece tube by using some pipe thread sealer on the threads and so far all is OK.I would recommend this model as it can be installed with only hand tightening of the bottom nut.So far, so good!
