nice product but after 3 months chrome finish is starting to rust. Chrome finish is too thin. waiting for manufacture to respond and see if they will replace product, shouldn't rust that fast

This is a fraction of the cost of others. Not one instruction included. It’s straight forward but you will need the longer bolts as others have indicated. M10 or one size smaller (metric or imperial) 1.5” in length. Nylon nuts or washer/lock washer/nut combo. I did not have to drill holes to make fit. I just loose fit, adjusted and snugged. Haven’t taken it for a spin or backpacked it but it feels solid and looks nice. I put this on my 2015 Vstar 250. Glad it worked because there is not much out there for this bike!

First of all, this thing is heavy duty and beautiful. It's a gorgeous addition to your bike, if you don't mind potentially having to re-drill the holes.The unit I received is unable to be assembled as the holes do not line up. I will have to drill new holes in order to make this fit together. It would have been worth the price if it was able to be assembled out of the box, maybe I was just unlucky

I mounted this padded sissy bar & luggage rack on my '18 Yamaha V Star 250. Once I got it all bolted together, the fit is solid as a rock! Gives the bike a more solid line. Besides making the ride way safer for the passenger. Certainly, improves the look of the bike!

The item does not look remotely like the images. It is not chrome, it's spray painted black and the sticking on the seat is awful

put on my wifes 2008 v star 250 .. fits great easy to put together .. as other ads say had to go to home depot. to get two bolt but well worth it my wife loves it .. happy wife happy life!

This fit my vstar Xv 2013 yamaha 250 real good, bolts that came with it are not that good, i bought four 1/4 inch hex bolts 1 1/2 inch long n lock nuts so i can tighten it better, i put 2 lock nuts on each bolt, all but one bolt fit through, with 1 i had to drill it out to get it in, i left back pad off cause i can tie my luggage on better with it off to the part that extends up, i dont plan on carrying passengers, i want to use it carrying luggage mostly while camping in forestGood deal n seems real sturdy

Great-looking and well-made unit. It came with not a single word of instructions. The photo on the package was all that I had to work with, and I needed a magnifying glass. You'll need to remove the two Allen-headed bolts on the bike and replace them with new bolts that are about an inch (25mm) longer. Take one off, go to your hardware store and find something you can use with the same thread. There's plenty of room under the fender for bolts that are too long so just be sure your replacements are long enough. I used regular hex-head bolts with a nice chrome washer.

Chrome pretty thin in some spots and missing all together in others where there was a bit of rust good luck finding 10mmx1.25x50 socket head bolts as other reviewer stated....... I used 3/8x2 socket head bolts but regular hex head bolts would also work and might be betterwith locknuts or use flange nuts and it worked just fine....... you can do that since the bolts just go through a hole and don't thread into anything other then the nut you put in under the fender to fit whatever bolt your using. The only instructions you have is to look at the picture on the ad to see what bolts on top of what. Wasn't to hard to put together and should work good for attaching my backpack to.

Love this rack and sissy bar. Don't expect easy installation, but will fit Xv250. Stop to think. You will need to buy 2 bolts to replace frame bolts. . Be careful when slipping assembly over seat for fender bolt installation.
