My wife does a lot of different types of crafts. She doesn't do a lot of glass work, but she does have occasion where she needs to shape glass. This grinder is perfect for small jobs. It's compact and sturdy. The battery lasts a long while (at least 45 minutes). The different size grinder attachments are useful for doing removal versus detail work.Overall, for small jobs or for someone just starting with glass, this is a nice little unit!

I really like the size of it and it fits in different places, so that's great for me, and it's very strong, I love the way it leaves my glass. It has been helpful having this one. It is very easy to use and clean, strong and great for mosaic glass cutting.

My wife has done stained glass as a hobby for a few years now, so I picked this up for her as an option to have a cordless/portable grinder.Pros: The kit comes with nice rubberized ant-cut gloves, a good scraper for cleaning the dried glass bits out of the tray, two Allen wrenches, and also two different sized diamond bits. The grate with the finger hole is awesome for cleaning. The grinder doesn’t make as much noise as the plugged in grinder she normally uses. The face shield is a good size and solid, it doesn’t wiggle or move while grinding. Being cordless, I was able to put this in a shielded area to prevent the water from going everywhere and also didn’t need to use it next to a plug so i could grind in a decent location for lighting.Cons: The grinder takes about 4 hours for a full charge. It will run continuously for about an hour and a half. The biggest downside, and why I took off a star, was that you can’t run this while it is charging. So, if you are in the middle of working on something and it dies.. you stop and wait. Also, the charging cable/wattage is finicky. This wouldn’t charge off of my apple usb c chargers, I had had get a different wattage netgear charger and cable to make it work. The other draw back is how light it is. This slides easily on the counter when you are pressing on it to grind. All in all, if someone is just getting into stained glass or only needs a hobby grinder for pieces here and there, this is a great value. If you need a grinder that can run for more than an hour or two, you’ll need to pick up a corded grinder instead.

This is a small unit that is easy to move around where you need it. The battery is rechargeable, making it even more convenient to use. It does come with two different size grinding bits. This is great for little craft making projects.

This little guy is a life saver, it's come in handy more times than I can count!I do a ton of collaborative work with other artists, or side by side projects to socialize, and I have loved being able to take this bad boy with me so easily.I use it mostly to shape glass, it works great for what I need! A friend borrowed it one day for a fair to use with shell and she said it was fantastic for her.The battery is perfect, I haven't timed it but it's never run out before I could charge it at the end of an event or outing. It's well made and sturdy, and is holding up well. It charges quickly. It came with diamond bits that I've used a ton. It has plenty of power for my glass, it's a great value. It's small and highly portable, easy to use and easy to show others, and feels like it will last. Great find!

This is an excellent tool, especially for those who work with glass in their crafting. It comes well packed and there will be some minor assembly to put it into operation. You will also need to charge it before using as it will not run while plugged into the USB outlet. The unit contains a Li-Ion battery that provides solid power allowing the spindle to move at about 4200rpm's. Without being tethered to an outlet, we were able to take it on the deck and enjoy a balmy afternoon working on some crafts. The grinder comes with 2bits, a 5/8" and 1", and these are easily changed using the included allen key. You will want to be sure when changing out the bits to align the flat side of the arbor with the set screw on the bit. This will prevent the bit from coming off or otherwise malfunctioning while in use. You also will not need to remove the set screw completely to remove/change the grinder bits but rather just enough to be able to lift/place the bit on the arbor. The set includes some safety equipment that will include the a clear lexan plate that installs on the grinder and allows you to observe your work without being sprayed with water or debris from the work piece. You will want to ensure this piece is installed properly. There is also a set of cloth gloves with a rubberized palm section. They feel a bit weak so we used our own leather gloves. I would also add that you will want to get a pair of goggles, there aren't any included with the grinder but are essential. I would advise using a pair that enclose your eyes as the glasses type leave areas for intrusion.Once you've assembled and are ready to run, you need to fill the reservoir with water. The spindle will draw water up to the diamond bit and help keep the glass/stone dust down. You will want to ensure you fill the reservoir up as too little and you will not recirculate any water. We filled it as directed to the points as noted in the instruction, but had no water flowing. We ended up having to add more while it was running until we had circulation, which was almost to the top of the platform. However once it was flowing, it was a solid amount and allowed us to work on our project. At this point we were left to figure out how light/hard you want to push/press against the bit to grind the shapes you desire.Once you're done for the day, the kit comes with a few cleaning tools allowing you to clear out the reservoir of water and glass and/or stone residue followed by wiping down with a paper towel.Overall this is a solid grinder for at home makers and crafters. Aside from some minor issues with the instructions in regards to the water reservoir, it was quick and easy setup and the learning curve is not too bad.
