Review for POWER ABS™ Mini Stepper, V-Shaped Twist Stepper with Handlebar, Fitness Stepper, Stair Stepper, Exercise Stepper with Resistance Bands + Resistance Loop BandsAssembly was pretty simple except for one thing - the cord to attach to the readout is stuck so far up inside of the top pole that I can't get it out. It can still be used, but I don't get any kind of stats.Please know that this is not run on electricity, but rather your own energy. The steps move as slow or as fast as you want them to go.As far as changing the tension, I haven't found if it's possible. It may be that the tension cannot be changed on the machine, but maybe it's how fast you can step.The space between the stepper and the handles doesn't feel very big. But, this is meant for someone smaller and lighter than my weight. I would strongly suggest not going over the weight limit of this. I am over that weight and it does feel like it would break if I used it too long.I am not sure if the twisting part works things differently or not, but it's kind of cool that it's not a straight up and down motion.I don't dislike this. I kind of really like it. But, unfortunately, it will be a few months until I am in the weight limit to use it.A note to the seller: Maybe make sure the cords for the display are outside of the poles prior to shipping. Maybe tape the ends to the pole.

This is a very sturdy peice of work out equipment, the only flaws is the counter does not catch all the steps unless you go all the way down.

If I had gone to write this review within minutes of receiving it and putting it together, I would have been a much different review. That's the funny part of the story.I found the directions for putting this together easy to follow. The packaging was somewhat minimal which was nice when it was time to recycle the box. The only drawback I found was the height of the handlebar. As someone who is average male height (5'10"), I find the handlebars to be a little shorter than I would like even when it is in set in the longest setting but that may just be a personal preference of mine.So the funny part: The day this was delivered, it was about 20 degrees outside and had been for a few days. I followed the directions and had it together within 30 minutes. That's when I stepped on and tried it out. I couldn't get it to move. I stepped back off figuring it must have had a clip on it for shipping purposes that I needed to remove. Look as I might I couldn't find one and there was no mention of it on the instructions. I decided to eat dinner then look again. When I returned, it was moving - very slooooowly even with considerable effort. So I figured it wasn't locked, but it was just adjusted too tight so I started looking for a way to reduce the resistance to no avail. That's when I realize it wasn't moving because it had been so cold so long and the hydraulic cylinders simply needed a chance to warm up.The next morning, after all the components had time to reach room temperature, it functioned as it should. Using my watch, I was able to confirm that using it was raising my heart rate so it is effective. I do think it's important to know up front that with the exception of the handlebar height, there are no adjustments available for workout intensity so you are at the mercy of the hydraulic cylinders as they are at delivery.

To be honest, I was really disappointed with this stepper. The stepper is well made, very solid, good weight metal that doesn't just knock over. It isn't wobbly or flimsy. The plastic/nylon parts that cover the bottom are strong and durable. It was very easy to put together, and took about 20 minutes, with tightening the screws being the hardest part. There's no electrical component to this machine-- you just snap together the cords to the step counter that is in the top center of the machine. Looks are deceiving, though...I was really looking forward to this stepper. I'm 37, mom of four little kids, and am chasing them around through the day. I was hoping this stepper would provide a quick warm up or be part of my workout routine on a regular basis. It's compact and easy to store away, and looks nice.I wish that the brand would have listed in the product description that this stepper is only one speed, which is "Sloth Slow." You step on one step, and it sinks very slowly. The other side doesn't react, and you must step down on that one, and it sinks very slowly. I can't see how this provides a workout for anyone. I looked all over the machine to see if there's a way to adjust the speed. None. Imagine stepping down into quick sand, and then it coming back up for a slooow release. The only person I can imagine this being useful for is maybe someone rehabilitating after an injury, or someone in their 70's or 80's who wants to keep up some exercise. Even then, the slow speed wouldn't do much for them.I'm not an athlete, but I do kind of enjoy physical activity, and things like pilates, the beach, basketball. The straps that connect are great, but maybe just too long for me? I'm 5'7" and average (120 lbs). The arm straps are so long that I tried winding them up to make it more challenging to use them. Didn't work.All in all, I keep wishing that I've read this machine wrong and it actually will be a good workout. Every time I step on it, I remember why I loathe it. Maybe I'll give it to a senior home.

It provides a great workout while taking up minimal space. I appreciate how effective it is, its ease of use, and its portability. Plus, it's incredibly convenient to store. I've even lost 3 pounds in just 2 weeks—it's truly a magical product!

This stepper is made very well and very easy to set up. I can feel my muscles working hard while I use it. Very safe and easy to use!
