I wanted to get this and try it with a room I have a TV in and a sound bar. I had two extra speakers that I had hooked up and the sound with everything was OK, but then I hooked this up to use on the two extra side speakers, and it actually amplified it enough to give a surround sound feeling like a small movie theater so I’m very happy :-) going up to Midway on the volume, I do not hear any distortion or anything that starts to sound funny. When I turn it up all the way the side speakers because of the amplification, bleeds out my center soundbar. Getting it to a level that everything is in play together and I has a really good sound, has to do with the right adjustment and where the outside speakers are placed. This little amplifier made everything all that much better and I would highly recommend it if you need to get a little more sound or you want to have a surround sound feel like I did. I’m sure it will work perfect just to amplify the sound on my laptop, if need be. I give it an A+.

This item is probably designed for the smaller bookshelf speaker system. I seriously doubt that it produces 300 watts of power as advertise because I have a 25 watter and it is just as loud maybe even louder than this one hooked up to the same speaker. I hooked it up to a pair of Infinity SL50's. You can only control the volume. So the tone is pre-set. For a $100 I was expecting better performance. But that's me. Other than that it is a good product.

I've been looking for a new amp for my audio/video editing rig for several months. This one popped up on Vine and I accepted. My first impression was that the amplifier itself was smaller than I'd expected (which had nothing to do with the dimensions in the ad being given in "feet"). It can comfortably live on top of the computer's mid-tower case and there's plenty of cable to tuck the power supply away nearby. There's one input (fed by 1/4"-to-RCA cables from my mixer) and one set of outputs (driving KRK ST6 studio monitors). Unlike my venerable analog amplifier, or the second-hand digital amp I was using after that one gave up the ghost, this one's dead silent when there's no signal. Its rated output is well above what my monitors are rated for but I operated it full bore during my initial testing, using a selection of my own recordings along with a few tracks I know well. There's no audible distortion at a reasonable listening level (~75dB). That I was able to discern new details in my own recordings was a pleasant surprise. I can't speak to its full output power because the sound of my mostly-untreated room and the overall SPL became intolerable well before I reached 0dB on the mixer. The amp's output seemed clean all the way up and the monitors are unscathed. Make of that what you will.If you're looking for a simple digital amp for your stereo rig, you could do a lot worse. Thanks, Amazon!

I’m really impressed with this amplifier! The TPA3255 Class D design delivers clear, powerful audio with minimal distortion. At 300W per channel, it easily drives my living room speakers with rich, detailed sound. The build is compact yet solid, and the volume control (gain) is a nice touch.Setup was simple, and the included 32V power adapter provides plenty of power. Please be aware that it does not come with the RCA cables themselves, which is its only source of input. I personally connected it to my living room built-in speakers, but it is perfect for any home theater, music streaming, or outdoor setup. Highly recommend for anyone needing a small but powerful stereo amp!One other drawback is that it does not come with a remote control. In spite of these couple of drawbacks, I love this amplifier!

This amp features the popular TPA3255 chip. Here are some thoughts:Likes:— Small yet powerful. True to Class D design, this amp can likely output under 40W per channel with the included power supply, but capable of much more if you opt for a more powerful (e.g. a 48V 5A supply that's not included). For most 8-ohm speakers at typical home listening levels, the default power supply should be plenty, IMHO.— The circuit enables low noise and low distortion, which is a key factor in the original design’s appeal. The lack of tone controls and bluetooth—often added to newer units—actually keeps the signal path cleaner.— Fairly solid build quality. It has an all-metal construction with decent speaker posts and RCA connectors. The minimalist design, with just a single volume control, looks good.— Very cost-effective.Caveats:— Contrary to advertisement, this amp is nowhere near 300W per channel. However, with a 48V 5A power supply and a 4-ohm speaker, I think 150W+ should be achievable—likely even higher. Yet that's not offered as an option. Still, for most situations, the available power should be sufficient.— There are no venting holes or a fan. If you run it at high power, especially with 4-ohm speakers, heat buildup could be an issue.— Sound quality will depend heavily on the op-amp and speakers used. It may not pair well with everything, but that makes it interesting to explore. Conclusion:Overall, this is a great value class D amp with low noise, efficient power output, and decent sound quality. With a discount, it can be an even better deal.
