Your cart is empty.The No-Contact Thermometer detects the infrared rays that an object emits. The instrument focuses the infrared energy of the object through the lens and onto a sensor. As a result, the instrument changes the surface temperature into an electrical signal, and a microcomputer calculates and displays the measured temperature on the LCD.

Tool itself is fine, but make sure you order it with some fresh AAA batteries. The ones it came with were already corroded.
