The mounting brackets are 6061 aluminum, while the guard itself is made of two different types of plastic-a stiff two piece spine for durability, and a softer colored body for flexibility. these are great, easy to install and well made.Installed in my Suzuki V Strom 650. I like the cover for the perforations, when removed it lets lot of air flow.
