The PTACK54P Pneumatic 20-Gauge 3/16-Inch Crown Carpet Tacker Stapler is a compact, pneumatic alternative to Powernail's electric carpet tacker. This tacker fits easily between spindles and tight against walls. Its head is more than 2 inches shorter than its electric relative and 5 pounds lighter! The model 54P is compact enough to fit in even the tightest places and rugged enough to stand up to daily use.

I bought this to tack carpet to steps. On the 6th step all of the sudden air started spewing out of it. It is unusable now. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to doing the project until after 30 days from my purchase so there is no option for me to return it. I’m pretty annoyed because now I’m stuck with a very expensive broken tool. If I could give this 0 stars I would.

An awesome alternative to electric tackers. The cordd don’t last and the tool is bulky. This version the head of the tacker fits in the tight spots and gets you a cleaner finish!

I've installed carpet for 20 years, this tracker works great. My electric tacker was broken and I was waiting on a part. This worked just as well. The only thing that is a con had nothing to do with the tacker, it's the air hose. If you can get a nice lightweight air hose I think you'll be thrilled with this purchase.
