My son complained it was hard to practice without a catcher. So I got him this. I liked it because the catcher's mitt is shown, other nets have a pocket where the glove should be. The net seems to be made of quality heavy duty cloth. His pitching trainer loves it and wants to get his own.

You can send a softball pitcher to the bullpen to get a workout, and she does not have to wait for a catcher to get started. In the past, the pitcher has had to wait for the catcher to "gear up" or there is no catcher available; however, this product allows the pitcher to have part or all of her pitching workout without a "live" catcher. We call it the "Pad Catcher".

We got this to work on my son's and daughters pitching. They love the different pockets to aim for and they see it as a game which makes pitching practice fun. They 8 and 13 set it up in about 3 minutes. Take down is a little longer only because they have a little trouble getting everything back in the bag. I coach softball and I am definitely going to use it this season for practice. The part with the picture of the catcher comes on and off in 30 seconds so you can quickly switch to batting. Pretty solid build. Happy so far!

Kids just love this for pitching practice. Fits easily on pitching net. Stopped all brotherly arguing when one doesn’t want to play. Now they can pitch to the catcher. I’m sure it will improve their skills.

The net was easy to set up and it seems to be made with quality in mind. The carrying bag could have been a little bit larger as it's kind of a tight fit and they could have made the carrying handles adjustable or added a smaller handle (straps) in addition to the large straps.

Wow!! I set this up and it is fantastic! It is very impressive in person. The pad is much thicker than I anticipated. It minimizes the impact of the ball allowing it to fall at its base for easier recovery. My son walked into the living room and saw this new net on the back patio through the sliding glass door and his mouth dropped. He couldnt wait to pitch some balls at it. Quality product, looks great, gives a lifelike image to focus on which my son had been expressing an interest in. Far better than wrapping my glove into the net for him to focus on. The price is extremely fair for this item so I highly recommend it.
