This cast iron roaster has a lot of uses. I roasted a standard size garlic clove as my initial test using my toaster oven. It only just fits but that's all that matters. The garlic roasted very nice and will be trying to make roasted pears soon. It's small for single servings but big enough to hold two nice size pears. This is great for us since there are only two of use. This comes pre-seasoned so it's ready to go. Cleans up just like any other cast iron pan would. This would make a fun gift as well.

This holds a surprising amount of garlic. It works really well in the oven or in a smoker. It’s easy to use and clean. It’s good solid cast iron which is a win. We love roasted garlic so this is a great option to get it done. It also smells amazing when cooked.

Not sure why my reviews keep disappearing, but here goes a second time. I LOVE this smoker/roster. Yesterday I put 4 bulbs of garlic in it and they came out perfect. First cut the tops off, drizzle some olive oil and wrap in foil, then place in this roaster. Put indirect on your grill for 45 minutes and you'll have perfect roasted garlic. Remove the cloves, put in a plastic baggie and freeze for long term storage.I can see how this would be a fantastic smoker box as well, but I already have that covered. I love the way it looks and works! As always, never put cast iron in the dishwasher, and always wipe it down with some cooking oil or spray each time you use it, and this should last a lifetime. It’s cute and fits bulbs of garlic well. I also blister cherry tomatoes in it. I’m a big fan of cast iron. For cleaning, I just wipe it out with wet kitchen sponge-no soap. Lightly spray with coat of olive oil and store for next use.

This is such an awesome little cast iron!! Very heavy duty. It's spacious and versatile. My only complaint is I wish it somehow latched together to be able to hang it in the smoker. They are obviously two separate pieces, with a hook on the top piece. They clean easily and it's just a really great addition for any cast iron lover.
