Replacement went well. Took a while and was hard to get to in the mower itself, but this seems to have worked well for the mower. Have mowed twice and no problems. (we mowed a yard that is is over an acre). No complaints.

OEM part worked like a charm. Mower is over 10 years old but still has life left in it thanks to this part and a couple youtube videos. If you undertake this I would highly recommend just keeping the wheels on and disconnecting the whole transmission from the frame. it helped me get this back and driving in about an hour and a half and saved me a $600 shop bill.

The part was not the same as the original one that came from factory and it did no work properly. I had to buy another piece for it to work bit I had to remove the secondary transmission so I could get these new parts in, then when I went to put the little screw back on the secondary transmission it broke off and now I have a useless transmission that I can't even use. All the time and effort I put into fixing my rider now came to halt. Please don't by this part for your john deere d105 cause it doesn't fit like the original one. So now I have this parts I bought and can't use them what a waste of money 😒
