The thickness of your shelves is going to determine if this works for you.

These look like the right thing and fit well but one package only had 7 pieces in it and I needed all 8. Returning them isn't worth it so I'm figuring out that last shelf another way.

I bought these as an experiment. First issue was the diameter. Most of my bookcases take one pin diameter, two are slightly larger. I needed more of the smaller pins. I don't have a caliper, so I used a ruler and hoped for the best. These fit, and the large spade tells me that this type of peg can handle the weight. Second issue: I have some books that are barely too tall for the space I have between the shelves. With these pegs, I can use the next upward set of holes and create shelves that are partway between what I would have with straight pegs. So far, so good.

Needed to replace missing pins on a used cabinet that was recently acquired and these fit perfectly. No issues installing and do exactly what I need them to do: hold shelfs in place. Made of quality material and fulfills the measure of its creation. Would say this is a quality product.

This were ordered to replace original plastic shelf supports in a book case which were shearing off under the weight of the books. These supports work perfectly, fit exactly in the holes and now, several months after I installed them, they remain intact and unbroken. I am happy.

Moved into an apartment... Our landlord is absolutely a slum lord, he won't fix anything properly. Anyway half of our kitchen cabinets have no shelves so we made some, bought some 1/4 inch pegs from Walmart at first but they were too big. Pulled out ny drill bits, realized they were 3/16 and bought these. They fit perfectly, they're sturdy and most importantly, I have shelves in my kitchen cabinets.

There is only 8 pegs in a packet for $14.95, so be aware and check out the price before you order! They seem sturdy enough but at this price, they should be.I am returning them as I know I can get similar for a lot less.

I recently picked up a freestanding cabinet at a garage sale (for $1.00). The exterior is oak and oak veneer. The interior looks like it’s made of Formica covered medium density particle board, with pre-drilled holes to support two adjustable Formica covered medium density particle board shelves. The cabinet came with tiny plastic support pegs that looked like they would be too wimpy to support much more weight than the shelves themselves. I put “Order new Shelf Support Pegs” on my To Do list, and didn’t get around to ordering the new pegs until I was wakened in the middle of the night by a loud CRASH.The peg portion of these Prime-Line Products Shelf Support Pegs are slightly tapered. They are narrower on the peg tip end than they are at the bracket end. They didn’t completely seat inside the holes with just finger pressure alone. I gave each peg a light tap with a small finish hammer & they seated completely. The package of 8 was exactly the number of pegs needed to support the two shelves that came in the cabinet. The shelf support end of each support peg is three times longer than the rinky-dink plastic support pegs that came with my cabinet, and the Prime-Line support pegs also have a hole in each shelf support end that can be used to attach screws to each shelf for additional stability & support. The shelves are all back inside the cabinet, and are now stable & securely supported. This package of 8 support pegs cost almost 3 times what I paid for the freestanding cabinet, but they changed it from an unstable and dangerous place to store stuff to usable storage space.
