We keep our saddles in the barn and needed something to protect them from dust and humidity. This seems to work great so far. And it makes transporting the saddle extremely easy.

Really nice quality bag for the price, but this bag absolutely does NOT fit a dressage saddle (my dressage saddle is standard size, 17.5 seat with modest knee rolls) despite being advertised as such. It would be more suitable for either an A/P or a jump saddle only due to the forwardness of the bag panels which cannot be adjusted unless you want to contort and possibly damage your dressage saddle. Nice shoulder carrying strap, and nice soft fleecey inside. I would return this, but it's in my cross-country move shipment that I now won't receive until past the return deadline. Really bummed. Great bag if you have an A/P or jump saddle, though.

When you look at the cost of the other brands of bags like this one, there's no contest. When your saddle is expensive, this will protect your investment. Even stored in a tack room with no temperature control, my saddle is protected. I love this bag, and I love the price tag even more**update**Absolutely loved this bag for my 17" open seat dressage saddle, but my 17" deep seat County saddle that I traded for almost doesn't fit in it. I can get it to zip, but I have to do a lot of man-handling and shift of the saddle inside the bag. It has proved to be completely waterproof though, and even with the super snug fit on the deep seat saddle, the zipper has not scratched/rubbed the leather.

The bag fits well over my all-purpose saddle.. The material is cordura or similar.. there is something crinkle sounding in the mix between outer layer and inner layer. ( plastic??) This is NOT like the other ones you see that are quilted and soft. It doe do a good job or protecting saddle from dust and outside environment.
