The head gear is tiny. I read other reviews and bought size large (supposedly 22-23" circumference) for a child with head size of 21-21.5". The helmet barely fits.Good: the foam is nice and thick with good overall head protection. Good ventilation so less sweating than comparable helmets.

Well constructed and great protection. A few of the reviews commented that they ran a little small. I tried them out at my dojo before I purchased mine. According to the sizing charts, I should have ordered a Large. Per the comments, I should have ordered a size up, an XL. When I tried them out, the XL was comfortable but slipped around as the chin strap was too loose. On the Large, the headgear was more snug but the chin strap was perfect which is how the headgear should fit.That said, I am bald and it was a good fit, according to the sizing. If you have big hair - which should be reflected when you size the circumference of your noggin anyways - you might think about the size up.
